Methods and systems for platform-specific maintenance software configuration are provided. The system providing: a maintenance engine embedded in a flight control system of a platform of a plurality of platforms; and an image building engine at a ground system, configured to process fault data and generate therefrom a binary image file (BIF); and wherein the maintenance engine is configured to: receive and execute the BIF to obtain the fault data pertaining to operation of the platform; establish an authenticated wireless communication link to the image building engine; and transmit the fault data to the image building engine via the authenticated wireless communication link; and the image building engine is configured to: generate the BIF responsive to processing the fault data with maintenance software and a user input; and upload the BIF to a cloud server. The maintenance engine receives the BIF from the cloud via the authenticated wireless communication link.

Method and system to dynamically configure and load platform-specific maintenance software

An aircraft taxiing system is provided, comprising a flight control system, an electric taxi system having controls, a flight management system (FMS), at least one data input source coupled to the FMS, and a traffic collision avoidance system (TCAS). The FMS is programmed with instructions to calculate guidance speed and heading commands, augment the guidance commands to avoid runway incursions, and transmit the guidance commands to the flight control system. The TCAS is programmed with instructions to receive Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) data from ground traffic, generate collision avoidance alerts; and transmit the collision avoidance alerts to the flight control system. The flight control system is programmed with instructions to receive guidance commands from the FMS, receive the traffic collision avoidance alerts from the TCAS, and compute the steering commands, and transmit the commands to the electric taxi system to taxi the aircraft along a calculated taxi route.

Aircraft taxiing system

A system for automated fault analysis and execution of post-flight or pre-flight tests for an aircraft is provided. The system includes a maintenance test client system onboard the aircraft, and a ground-based maintenance test server system that is remote from the aircraft. The maintenance test client system is configured to collect fault data for the aircraft, and to wirelessly transmit the fault data to the ground-based maintenance test server system after the aircraft has landed. The ground-based maintenance test server system is configured to receive the fault data, to generate a test checklist that is influenced by the fault data, and to transmit the test checklist to the maintenance test client system. The maintenance test client system wirelessly receives the test checklist, and initiates execution of at least one test specified in the test checklist.
