In one aspect, compounds and compositions that modulate a bromodomain and methods of making and using same are disclosed. The disclosed compounds and compositions can be useful for disorders associated with inhibition of a bromodomain such as, for example, cancer. This abstract is intended as a scanning tool for purposes of searching in the particular art and is not intended to be limiting of the present invention.

Tetrahydroquinoline-based bromodomain inhibitors

Compounds of Formula I, its stereoisomers, pharmaceutically acceptable salts, complexes, hydrates, solvates, tautomers, polymorphs, racemic mixtures, optically active forms and pharmaceutically active derivative thereof and pharmaceutical compositions containing them as the active ingredient which can be used as medicaments are provided. The aforementioned substances can also be used in the manufacture of medicaments for treatment, prevention, or suppression of diseases, and conditions mediated by microbes. Methods for the synthesis and characterization of the aforementioned substances are also provided. 

Oxazolidinone antibiotic compounds and process of preparation

The invention relates to compounds of Formula I and Formula (B) along with their stereoisomers, pharmaceutically acceptable salts, complexes, hydrates, solvates, tautomers, polymorphs, racemic mixtures, optically active forms, and pharmaceutically active derivatives thereof. These compounds are useful for killing or inhibiting the growth of a microorganism selected from the group consisting of bacteria, virus, fungi, and protozoa.

Substituted oxazolidines as anti-bacterial agents

The compounds of the invention are antagonists of MDM2 and MDMX, with excellent specificity for MDM2 and MDMX over other proteins, and with selective binding affinity to MDMX over MDM2. The compounds can therefore regulate p53 activity and treat a variety of cancers.
