Methods, devices and systems for controlling an active fingerprint sensor area of a fingerprint sensor system are disclosed. In some examples, the one or more active fingerprint sensor area criteria may involve, or correspond to, a security level. The security level may correspond to a data security level, a software application security level, or a combination thereof. According to some examples, controlling the active fingerprint sensor area may involve activating a relatively larger fingerprint sensor area for a relatively higher security level. Alternatively, or additionally, the one or more active fingerprint sensor area criteria may correspond to a fingerprint sensor area used for obtaining fingerprint sensor data from one or more digits involved in an enrollment process, the size of one or more digits used during the enrollment process, the size of one or more digits used for one or more recent authentication attempts, or combinations thereof.

Controlling an active fingerprint sensor area

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, a base station may configure a user equipment (UE) with a time to trigger (TTT) and a signal quality threshold. The UE may determine whether one or more conditions are satisfied, and if so, transmit an early measurement report or ignore a conflicting procedure that renders the measurements unavailable. In some examples, a UE may receive an indication of a minimum TTT in a configuration message with the TTT and the signal quality threshold. The UE may indicate an updated timing, to a base station, based on the minimum TTT. In some examples, the base station may determine that a UE is a multi-subscriber identification module (MSIM) UE, and may configure the duration of the TTT accordingly.

Aspects of the disclosure relate to mechanisms for enhancement in UE cell selection to prioritize cells supporting 5G New Radio (NR) in standalone mode (SA) and in non-standalone (NSA) mode. In some examples, a UE may identify a plurality of cells within an area including a location of the UE. Each cell supports at least one radio access technology (RAT) and at least one frequency. The UE may determine a selection order of the plurality of cells based on the supported RATs and frequency bands to prioritize cells supporting the latest RAT (e.g., 5G NR) and select a serving cell based on the selection order.

Aspects presented herein may improve a UE's performance by optimizing the CDRX toggling at the UE. In one aspect, a UE transmits, to a base station, a first UE assistance information request, where the first UE assistance information request include s at least one of an updated CDRX cycle or an updated inactivity timer period, and the updated CDRX cycle is different from an initial CDRX cycle and/or the updated inactivity timer period is different from an initial inactivity timer period. The UE adjusts the initial CDRX cycle to the updated CDRX cycle based on the first UE assistance information request. The UE transmits, to the base station after the initial CDRX cycle is adjusted, a second UE assistance information request, where the second UE assistance information request includes at least one of the initial CDRX cycle or the initial inactivity timer period.

An imaging system can receive image data from an image sensor with different sets of photodetectors sensitive to different electromagnetic (EM) frequency domains. The imaging system determines, based on image data of a scene received from the image sensor, a first focus setting for focusing on the scene using the image sensor in the first domain. The imaging system determines, based on the first focus setting and a difference between respective characteristics of the first domain and a second domain, a second focus setting for focusing on the scene using the image sensor in the second domain. The imaging system causes the image sensor to capture a first image of the scene in the first domain according to the first focus setting, and to capture a second image of the scene in the second domain according to the second focus setting.

In some embodiments, the peripheral device receives, from a host device, and stores, in a memory of the peripheral device, registration data including, for instance, a user credential, a user identifier, and/or a device identifier. Upon a request to pair the peripheral device with the same or a different host device, the peripheral device requests and receives, from such a host device, authentication data including a user credential, a user identifier, and/or a device identifier.
