Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first network entity (e.g., a distributed unit (DU)) may receive, from a second network entity (e.g., a centralized unit (CU)), a control message indicating a common discontinuous reception (C-DRX) configuration associated with a set of user equipments (UEs) communicatively coupled to the first network entity, where the C-DRX configuration indicates a time period including an active duration and an inactive duration. The first network entity may then communicate with two or more of the set of UEs in accordance with the indicated C-DRX configuration during the active duration of the time period of the C-DRX configuration.

Techniques for discontinuous reception configurations for network energy savings

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a parent node in an integrated access and backhaul (IAB) network may transmit, to an IAB node having a mobile termination function (IAB-MT) and a distributed unit (IAB-DU), signaling indicating a set of restricted IAB-DU beams and associating the set of restricted IAB-DU beams with one or more IAB-MT beams, the set of restricted IAB-DU beams determined based on measurements related to interference caused by the IAB-DU and the IAB-MT performing a simultaneous operation in one or more simultaneous multiplexing modes. Additionally or alternatively, the parent node may perform scheduling for the IAB-MT based on signaling received from the IAB node that indicates beam-specific parameters related to a multiplexing capability for a beam pair that includes an IAB-MT beam and an IAB-DU beam associated with the IAB-MT beam. Signaling enhancements for simultaneous multiplexing in an integrated access and backhaul network

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The network may manage access to a cell on a per-beam basis. The network may indicate, for a given beam, whether a user equipment (UE) is able to access the cell via the given beam. Accordingly, the UE may access a cell using a beam that is not barred for the UE. In some examples, control signaling may include a list of each beam associated with the cell and may indicate whether each beam is barred or accessible. In some examples, control signaling include a field indicating whether the particular beam on which the control signaling was transmitted is barred. In some examples, control signaling may indicate whether a cell is barred. The UE may interpret the indication of whether the cell is barred as indicating whether the beam on which the control signaling was transmitted is barred.

Beam specific network admission

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first integrated access and backhaul (IAB) donor central unit (CU) may transmit, to a second IAB donor CU, a resource configuration of a first cell served by an IAB node to initiate a migration of the IAB node from a first parent node to a second parent node serving a second cell associated with the second IAB donor CU. The first IAB donor CU may receive, from the second IAB donor CU, an indication that communications performed by the IAB node associated with the first cell will not conflict with communications with the second parent node serving the second cell. The first IAB donor CU may migrate the IAB node to the second parent node based at least in part on the indication. Numerous other aspects are described.

Migration of an integrated access and backhaul node

Aspects described herein relate to providing dynamic frequency division multiplexing (FDM) within a component carrier (CC) for use by integrated access and backhaul (TAB) nodes. A configuration can be communicated for each cell of the IAB node indicating multiple resource availability combinations with each resource availability combination corresponding to resource block (RB) sets over multiple slots. A downlink control information (DCI) indicating one resource availability combination of the multiple resource availability combinations for one or more cells of the IAB node can be communicated as well. The IAB node can communicate, in a slot, over one or more RB sets of the multiple configured RB sets in symbols indicated as available by the one resource availability combination.

Techniques for supporting dynamic frequency division multiplexing within carrier

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, an integrated access and backhaul (IAB) node may receive a data packet associated with a timing parameter. The IAB may insert a time stamp into the data packet, based at least in part on the timing parameter, the time stamp associated with a reference time that is known among one or more additional IAB nodes within a path associated with the data packet. Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may communicate with a network entity within a first coverage area associated with a first wireless cell. The UE may receive a system information (SI) update indication that indicates a modification of the first coverage area to a second coverage area. The SI update indication may also include one or more thresholds that the UE may use to determine whether the UE is to receive an updated SI message associated with the modification of the first coverage area to the second coverage area, or whether the UE is to skip receiving the updated SI message associated with the modification of the first coverage area to the second coverage area. The UE then determines whether to receive the updated SI message based on the one or more thresholds.

Coverage adaptation and impact on idle user equipment (UE)

In some aspects, an integrated access and backhaul (IAB) node may receive, from a first IAB donor centralized unit (CU) via a first parent distributed unit (DU), a first indication to establish a first connection with a second parent DU associated with a second IAB donor CU. The IAB node may establish the first connection with the second parent DU. The IAB node may establish a second connection with the first IAB donor CU via the second parent DU, the first connection and the second connection forming a target path between the IAB node and the first IAB donor CU. Handover command delivery via a target path in an integrated access and backhaul configuration

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a network node may receive a first message associated with initiating a random access channel (RACH) procedure. The network node may communicate one or more second messages associated with completing the RACH procedure, wherein a type of the RACH procedure is associated with a type of analog to digital converter used for communication. Two-step random access channel procedure

Aspects relate to exchanging beam-related information for a repeater device. A network access node may configure a repeater device to transmit multiple synchronization signal blocks using different beams. The network access node may determine the number of beams that the repeater device can use for its operations. A repeater device may indicate how many beams the repeater device supports, how many antenna arrays it has, and a mapping of beam indices to antenna array indices. A repeater device may indicate which beam pairs cannot be used for simultaneous transmission and/or reception and/or which beam groups can be used for simultaneous transmission and/or reception. A network access node may determine which beam pairs the repeater device cannot use for simultaneous transmission and/or reception and/or which beam groups the repeater device can use for simultaneous transmission and/or reception based on signal measurements and/or beam configuration feedback from the repeater device.

Aspects relate to establishing a signaling connection between a radio access network (RAN) node and a first scheduling entity. The RAN node may communicate in a dual connectivity (DC) mode of operation with the first scheduling entity (e.g., a secondary gNB) using a first radio access technology (RAT) and with a second scheduling entity (e.g., a master eNB) using a second RAT. The RAN node and the first scheduling entity may support sending information for a first signaling connection between the RAN node and the first scheduling entity over a second signaling connection through the second scheduling entity (e.g., when the second signaling connection is more reliable than the first signaling connection). To establish the second signaling connection, the RAN node and the first scheduling entity may signal support for the second signaling connection and exchange Internet Protocol information for the second signaling connection.

The network node may encapsulate or decapsulate traffic associated with a second wireless signaling connection within the first wireless signaling connection. The second wireless signaling connection corresponds to a non-F1 interface of a control plane or user plane network function that terminates at the first node. For instance, the network node may be a consumer premises equipment (CPE) serving a UE, a base station wirelessly serving the CPE, or a core network node providing control for the UE.

Signaling to support RAN management for local traffic

A control node may transmit, to a first relay node, an indication to communicate according to a first resource configuration of a set of resource configurations, where each resource configuration of the set is associated with a respective resource block set and a respective time domain pattern. In some examples, each time domain pattern may indicate, for each symbol of a respective set of symbols associated with each time domain pattern, a resource type associated with availability of each symbol for communication by the first relay node with a second relay node. The first relay node may communicate according to the first resource configuration based on receiving the indication to communicate according to the first resource configuration.
