The present invention provides an electrode material and production method thereof. The electrode material comprises: an electrode active material; and an elastic layer coated on the electrode active material, wherein the elastic layer comprises the elements of C, H, O, N, S and the electrode material has the characteristic peaks at mass-to-charge ratio (m/z) 261±0.5, (m/z) 155±0.5, (m/z) 80±0.5, (m/z) 32±0.5, and (m/z) 14±0.5 using TOF-SIMS with the primary ion of Bi.

Electrode material and production method and application thereof

An aqueous lithium-ion battery and an electrode used therein are provided, wherein the electrode includes a current collector, a coating layer, and a composite layer. The coating layer is disposed on at least one surface of the current collector, and the coating layer contains an active material. The composite layer is disposed on a surface of the coating layer. The composite layer includes a first film and a second film, wherein the first film is between the second film and the surface of the coating layer, and the water contact angle of the first film is greater than the water contact angle of the second film.

Aqueous lithium-ion battery, electrode used therein, and electrode manufacturing method

A lithium ion battery is provided, which includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and an electrolyte disposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode. The negative electrode includes a current collector and a &#x3b2;-phase-based polyvinylidene fluoride (&#x3b2;-PVDF) layer coating on the current collector. The &#x3b2;-PVDF layer may have a thickness of 1 &#x3bc;m to 10 &#x3bc;m.

Negative electrode and lithium ion battery

A Ni&#x2014;Mn composite oxalate powder is provided. The Ni&#x2014;Mn composite oxalate powder includes a plurality of biwedge octahedron particles represented by the general formula: NiMnCoMCO.nHO, wherein q+x+y+z=1, 0&#x3c;q, x&#x3c;1, 0&#x2266;y&#x3c;1, 0&#x2266;z&#x3c;0.15, 0&#x2266;n&#x2266;5, and M is at least one of Mg, Sr, Ba, Cd, Zn, Al, Ga, B, Zr, Ti, Ca, Ce, Y, Nb, Cr, Fe and V. The above powder may be further calcined with a lithium salt to form a lithium transition metal oxide powder for use as a positive electrode material in lithium ion-batteries.

Ni&#x2014;Mn composite oxalate powder, lithium transition metal composite oxide powder and lithium ion secondary battery

The disclosure provides a Ni&#x2014;Mn composite oxalate powder, including a plurality of biwedge octahedron particles represented by the general formula: NiMnCoMCO.nHO, wherein q+x+y+z=1, 0&#x3c;q, x&#x3c;1, 0&#x2266;y&#x3c;1, 0&#x2266;z&#x3c;0.15, 0&#x2266;n&#x2266;5, and M is at least one of Mg, Sr, Ba, Cd, Zn, Al, Ga, B, Zr, Ti, Ca, Ce, Y, Nb, Cr, Fe and V. The above powder may be further calcined with a lithium salt to form a lithium transition metal oxide powder for use as a positive electrode material in lithium ion-batteries.

A porous tin particle and its preparation method are provided in the present invention. The method includes steps of: (a) performing a reductive (or reductive electrochemical) reaction on a tin particle which simultaneously reacts with lithium ions to form a tin-lithium (Sn&#x2014;Li) alloy; and (b) performing an oxidative (or oxidative electrochemical) reaction on Sn&#x2014;Li alloy to release the lithium ions therefrom, and the porous tin particle is formed. The porous tin particle could be further applied in manufacturing the electrochemical electrode for lithium-ion battery with longer cycle life and higher reversibility.

Porous tin particles and the preparation for the same

A lithium ion secondary battery includes LiFePOas a major component of the positive electrode active material. In order to implement the high rate capability with 10 C/1 C rate larger than 80%, the invention designs a positive electrode on a current collector with a ratio (A/t) of coating area to coating thickness greater than 1.2&#xd7;10(mm) and uses more than one tab on the current collector. The design of the invention can be applied to other active materials with low conductivity as the positive electrode for lithium ion battery.

High rate capability design of lithium ion secondary battery

A photocatalytic reactor is disclosed herein, which includes a rotatable light guide plate and a light source. The light guide plate is coated with a photocatalyst film on a surface thereof. A light beam emitted from the light source can be coupled into and propagate inside the light guide plate to activate the photocatalysis of the photocatalyst film. Additionally, the rotation of the light guide plate further expedites the photocatalysis so as to enhance the reaction efficiency of the photocatalytic reactor.

Disclosed is a lithium battery including a silicon negative electrode, a lithium mixed metal oxide positive electrode, a separator disposed between the negative and positive electrodes to define a reservoir region, an electrolytic solution filled in the reservoir region, and a sealant structure wrapped around the silicon negative electrode, the lithium mixed metal oxide positive electrode, the separator, and the electrolytic solution. The electrolytic solution includes an organic solvent, a lithium salt, and an additive. The additive includes a maleimide compound and vinylene carbonate. The silicon negative electrode of the lithium battery employing the described electrolytic solution has higher cycle efficiency and longer operating lifespan.

Iron oxide film directly grown on iron, steel, or other substrates by chemical or electrochemical oxidation is a promising material for energy storage through surface adsorption of static charges. As the electrode materials of energy-storage devices, the hydrated iron compound has a chemical composition of Fe O H , where 1.0&lE;x&lE;3.0, 0.0&lE;y&lE;4.0, and 0.0&lE;z&lE;1.0. An aqueous or organic solution of a metallic salt including sulfates, sulfites, hydroxides, chlorides, phosphates and nitrates is used as electrolyte for the electrochemical devices. Cyclic voltammetry indicates that the iron-oxide electrodes in the electrolytes can store charges as high as 0.5 F/cm or 320 F/g of the electrode materials. Electrochemical capacitors using the iron oxide as the electrode material is an economical and viable power source for use in portable electronics, power tools, and electrical vehicles.
