A computer system is provided including a single sign-on system with applications and a data store storing user profiles, each including a user ID, wherein each of the user profiles has a corresponding application password for one or more of the applications, and a user profile administration tool. The user profile administration tool includes a password provisioning section where an administrator selects a user profile and further selects an application type. The application type includes an application type wherein the administrator resets the password for one or more of the applications. The application type also includes a stand-alone application type wherein the administrator resets a password for a stand-alone application. The user profile administration tool further includes a password synchronizing section wherein the user profile administration tool automatically synchronizes the application passwords with each of the corresponding user profiles.

A computer implemented method for providing enhanced customer support is provided. The method comprises a replication server selecting a plurality of first entries in a source lightweight directory access protocol (LDAP) data store based on at least one attribute of the selected entries matching a predefined criteria, wherein a structure of the first entries is defined by a first schema. The method also comprises the replication server copying a plurality of attributes of each of the selected entries into a target lightweight directory access protocol data store, wherein the target lightweight directory access protocol data store contains a plurality of second entries, wherein a structure of the second entries is defined by a second schema, wherein the first schema is different from the second schema, and wherein the plurality of attributes copied do not include all of the attributes defined by the first schema.

Conditional fractional data store replication

A system for directory replication and integration is provided. The system comprises a computer system and an application, that when executed on the computer system, analyzes a first structure of a first directory services database and generates a plurality of configuration files based on the analysis of the first structure of the first directory services database. The system also creates a second structure using the configuration files and tests the second structure using load and performance profiles and adjusts the second structure based on the results of the tests. The system also replicates entries in first directory services database to a second directory services database according to the second structure.

One embodiment of the present invention provides a method for testing and monitoring software applications such as naming services, messaging services, publish/subscribe services, authentication/authorization services, transaction services, and the like. The method involves testing multiple elements of the application so as to ease trouble-shooting in the event of failure of some element of the application. The preferred embodiment presents the user with an integrated interface for all devices being monitored. Regardless of whether a web-based system, a client/server system, or some other type of configuration is being tested, all control functions and displays of test data are accessed through the same set of screens. Also, the preferred embodiment performs not only failure testing but also performance monitoring. In addition, one embodiment provides error notification and error logging capabilities. If an error occurs, the appropriate party is automatically notified by pager, e-mail, or some other electronic messaging system.
