The description discloses a device and a kit adapted for selection of cells that are resistant to receptor-mediated apoptosis and a method for using the device and kit. The device enables negative selection of mature immune cells which induce graft versus host disease (GvHD) out of a heterogeneous cell population which is introduced into the device. The device enables an efficient cell selection in simplified and cheaper setting by an off the shelf product&#x2014;a solution that currently do not exist. The description further discloses uses for the device.

Devices and methods for selecting apoptosis-signaling resistant cells, and uses thereof

An isolated immune regulatory cell having an exogenous cell death-inducing moiety attached to a surface thereof is disclosed herein. Additionally, a molecule comprising a cell death-inducing moiety heterologously attached to an immune regulatory cell-specific binding moiety is disclosed herein. Methods of generating and using same as well as pharmaceutical compositions comprising same are also disclosed.

Regulatory immune cells with enhanced targeted cell death effect

A method of selecting stem cells from heterogeneous population of cells is disclosed. The method comprises contacting the population of cells with an apoptosis inducing agent under conditions which are apoptotic to non-stem cells and non-apoptotic to stem cells, thereby selecting the stem cells from the heterogeneous population of cells. The selected stem cells may then be used for a variety of applications including transportation and differentiation.

Methods of selecting stem cells and uses thereof

A method of inducing tolerance to a transplant transplanted from a donor to a subject is disclosed. The method comprises (a) restricting outflow of a fluid from a portion of the circulatory system of the subject; and (b) administering a dose of bone marrow cells derived from the donor to a body part delimiting said portion of the circulatory system, prior to, concomitantly with or following transplantation of the transplant, thereby inducing tolerance to the transplant in the subject.
