Machines, systems and methods for remotely provisioning computing power over a communications network are provided. The method may comprise selecting one or more tasks being executed on a first computing system to be migrated for execution on a second computing system connected to the first computing system by way of a communications network; determining a first point of execution reached during the execution of at least a selected task on the first computing system prior to the selected task being migrated for execution to the second computing system; migrating the selected task to the second computing system, wherein the second computing system continues to execute the selected task from the first point of execution; and monitoring the connection between the first computing system and the second computing system so that in response to detecting a disconnection, execution of the selected task continues seamlessly.

Seamless extension of local computing power

A computerized apparatus, a computer-implemented method and a computer program product for manipulating source code patches. The apparatus comprising a processor that is configured to: obtain a source code patch comprising plurality of source code modification instructions with respect to a source code and to automatically split the source code patch into plurality of sub-patches, wherein applying the plurality of sub-patches on the source code in an order is equivalent to applying the source code patch.

Manipulating source code patches

Apparatus, process and product useful for source code patches. The computerized apparatus having a processor, the apparatus comprising: a source code obtainer for obtaining a source code of a computer program; a patch instructions obtainer for obtaining a set of source code patches instructions, wherein a first patch instructions comprise a set of modification instructions to the source code associated with a first source code patch, wherein a second patch instructions comprise a set of modification instruction to the source code associated with a second source code patch; a source code editor configured to display to a user the source code and annotations associated with applying each source code patch simultaneously; and wherein said source code editor is further configured to edit the source code in accordance with user input, wherein based on user input the first and second source code patch instructions are modified.

Source code patches

Machines, systems and methods for I/O monitoring in a plurality of compute nodes and a plurality of service nodes utilizing a Peripheral Component Interconnect express (PCIe) are provided. In one embodiment, the method comprises assigning at least one virtual function to a services node and a plurality of compute nodes by the PCIe interconnect and a multi-root I/O virtualization (MR-IOV) adapter. The MR-IOV adapter enables bridging of a plurality of compute node virtual functions with corresponding services node virtual functions. A front-end driver on the compute node requests the services node virtual function to send data and the data is transferred to the services node virtual function by the MR-IOV adapter. A back-end driver running in the services node receives and passes the data to a software service to modify/monitor the data. The back-end driver sends the data to another virtual function or an external entity.

Systems and methods for associating a first process with a first state and a first computing environment initialized according to a first set of parameters, wherein a first task is to be performed under a first security context. The method further comprising associating a second process with a second state and a second computing environment initialized according to a second set of parameters; in response to the first process submitting a first request, the second process spawning a third process which has the second state; wherein the third process sets a security context for the third process to the first security context and the third process sets the computing environment for the third process according to a first a set of parameters; executing the third process under the first security context and in association with the second state; and executing the first task in the first computing environment.

Optimization of spawning request handling processes in a secured computing environment

A method of handling an event occurring in a nested virtualization computing environment is provided, wherein N hypervisors are executed nestedly, with a first hypervisor running at level zero (L0) directly over a host machine, and other hypervisors nestedly running at levels L1 to Ln, respectively. The method comprises trapping an event generated by software running at level Ln; determining a hypervisor x at level Lx designated for handling the trapped event; and wherein the hypervisor x emulates features needed for performing the trapped event for the software running at the level Ln.

Method and a computer program product for indexing files and searching files

Systems and methods for streaming faceted search are provided. In accordance with one embodiment, an exemplary method comprises receiving a search query; processing the search query to find matching search results and facet information corresponding to the search query, wherein the facet information is not part of the search query, but is used to group the search results into a plurality of sets, such that each set corresponds to a facet value range common to the search results included in said set, so that the search results are filtered based on certain criteria and sortable based on the facet value ranges associated with each set; designating at least a first output stream and a second output stream, wherein data related to the matching search results for the search query is written to the first output stream, and data related to at least a first facet information is written to the second output stream, so that the matching search results for the search query provided via the first output stream are processed and displayed without any delay associated with grouping the search results into the plurality of sets according to the facet information provided in at least the second output stream; providing the plurality of sets corresponding to the filtered or sortable search results generated according to the facet information for display, in response to finding matching search results that correspond to the facet value range for each set as respective search results become available that match a respective facet value or facet range; and asynchronously generating one or more sets associated with first facet information corresponding to the search results, wherein the sets associated with the first facet information are displayed as second facet information continues to be generated, wherein the search results for a first set corresponding to the first facet information are partially displayed in response to selecting a representation of the first set, and wherein remainder of the search results for the first set are displayed at later time, when additional search results for the first set becomes available.

Streaming faceted search

A method for information retrieval with unified search between heterogeneous objects includes indexing a first object as a document in a search index; referencing a second object related to the first object in a facet of the document; and storing a relationship strength between the first and second objects in the facet of the document in the search index. Multiple heterogeneous objects can be related to the first object and referenced in multiple facets of the document, each with its relationship strength to the first object. Scoring an indirect object by indirect relation to a query object can be carried out by aggregating the relationship strengths between the indirect object and the retrieved objects multiplied by the retrieved objects' direct scores of relationship strength to the query object.
