A vacuum brake force booster for a vehicle brake system, in particular, with a master brake cylinder that can be attached along with the brake force booster to a wall of an automotive vehicle, with a housing comprised of at least two wall elements attached to each other, and with at least one reinforcing element that extends through the interior of the housing and has a thin-walled tubular shape. The essence of the present invention is that the reinforcing element on at least one end passes over into a radially extending fastening portion which extends, at least in a partial zone, in parallel to the associated wall element and is supported on the wall element so that the interior of the brake force booster is separated pressure-tightly from the atmosphere. The present invention permits a simple and low-cost assembly of the brake force booster without the necessity of additional sealing elements which are difficult to mount.

The proposed brake system eliminates breather bores and central valves in the working pistons of the master brake cylinder and establishes short-term pressure fluid connections between the supply reservoir and the working chambers when the brake is not applied by controlling replenishment valves and outlet valves. Therefore, connection of the supply reservoir to the working chambers of the working cylinder is constituted solely via electromagnetically controllable connections.

A transducer for an electromotively driven automotive vehicle power steering system is substantially composed of a compact sensor carrier (6) which can be plugged into a corresponding opening of a steering housing (1). Semiconductor sensor elements (S1, S2) are arranged on the side of the sensor carrier (6) projecting into the interior of the steering housing (1). Outwardly, the sensor carrier (6) ends in plug contacts (12) serving to supply the sensor signals via a corresponding counter-plug to the analyzing electronics. The compact transducer which is retained in the steering housing (1) e.g. by means of steel stop springs (13) is apt for measuring the steering angle, the steering velocity and steering acceleration as well as for measuring the steering torque.

A process and device for producing a bearing eye or a transverse perforation in the clevis of the actuating rod of a brake power booster. The assembled brake power booster is inserted in a locking frame of the device, the clevis being retained at a cutting tool provided in a locking frame at a desired design distance of the clevis from the fixation flange of the booster casing. Upon insertion of the booster in the locking frame, the legs of the clevis are punched by a cutting punch so that in a single process step, a transverse punch hole or perforation to receive the pivot pin of the brake pedal is made maintaining a close tolerance to the desired design distance, i.e. independently of the specific position of mounting of the actuating rod and independent of the distance between the end of the clevis and the fixation flange of the booster casing.

During assembly of a brake booster employed in a hydraulic brake system of an automotive vehicle, the two casing shells of the booster are moved relative to each other by compressing the elastic seal disposed between the two casing shells an amount until a predetermined distance is achieved between the surface at one casing shell used to mount a master cylinder on the booster and the force-transmitting end of the push rod of the booster. In this position, the two casing shells are then operatively connected to each other to maintain the predetermined distance. This method of assembly and the arrangement for implementing the method simplifies the manufacturing of a brake booster.
