A nano-pharmaceutical formulation, comprising zein nanoparticles, icariin (ICA) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof encapsulated within the zein nanoparticles, at least one solubilizer, wherein the at least one solubilizer comprises D-a-Tocopherol polyethylene glycol 1000 succinate (TPGS), and one or more pharmaceutical penetration enhancers is provided. Methods of enhancing libido by administering a composition as described herein is also provided.

Icariin nano-pharmaceutical formulation

Thioctamer, a nanoconjugate of glatiramer acetate (GA) and thioctic acid (TA), e.g. in the form of nanospheres, is provided as are compositions comprising thioctamer and methods of using the same for wound healing. Application of thioctamer to a wound accelerates wound healing, compared to control wounds that are not treated with the copolymer.

A prostate grasping morcellator device and a method of morcellating prostate tissue are described. The prostate grasping morcellator device includes a handpiece portion including a motor which rotates an internal sheath in an external sheath of a rod. The rod is connected to a second end of the handpiece portion. The prostate grasping morcellator device includes one or more retractable grasping nails connected to an end of the rod. The end is distal to the second end of the handpiece portion. The prostate grasping morcellator device includes a control button to control movement of the retractable grasping nails. The control button is mounted adjacent to the second end of the handpiece portion. The prostate grasping morcellator device includes one or more blades, rotated by the motor to morcellate tissue.

Grasping prostate morcellator

An in situ gelling composition comprising nanoparticles comprising soy protein and a bioactive agent, and a sodium alginate film, wherein the nanoparticles are encapsulated in the film. The in situ gelling composition maybe incorporated into a solid dosage form or reconstituted with water for oral administration to a subject in need of sustained release of the bioactive agent.

In situ gelling composition as a pH-selective and mucoadhesive sustained release drug delivery system

An ophthalmic formulation comprising transethosomes is provided. The transethosomes include a phospholipid, an edge activator, ethanol, and ketoconazole, wherein a surface of the transethosome is modified with a cationic charge inducing agent. The transethosomes may be incorporated into in situ gelling or hydrogel compositions. The formulations are useful for the sustained delivery of ketoconazole to the posterior eye segment of a subject.

Ketoconazole ophthalmic preparations containing trans-ethosomal drug nanoparticles

A rotatory resectoscope is disclosed with a novel mechanism for endoscopic resection. Resection is performed by a rotary motion instead of the conventional linear motion. A novel resection loop and working element for controlling the movement of the resection loop allow the resection loop to move in clockwise and counterclockwise rotation. Embodiments include both monopolar and bipolar diathermy resectoscopes.

A liquisolid tablet formulation, comprising a microcrystalline cellulose carrier; a silica coating; a crosslinked polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) superdisintegrant; a solvent comprising polyethylene glycol (PEG) 200 and caprylocaproyl macrogol-8 glycerides; tadalafil; and dapoxetine, wherein the liquid load factor of the formulation is 0.2-0.4 is provided. Methods of making the liquisolid tablet and methods of using the formulation for the treatment of male sexual dysfunction are also provided.
