The present invention relates to thermoplastic polyurethanes obtainable or obtained by reaction of at least one polyisocyanate composition which comprises 4,4'-MDI and at least one further polyisocyanate, at least one chain extender of general formula (I) and at least one polyol composition. The present invention further relates to a production process for such thermoplastic polyurethanes and to the use of a thermoplastic polyurethane according to the invention or of a thermoplastic polyurethane obtainable or obtained by a process according to the invention for producing extrusion products, films and molded articles.

Thermoplastic polyurethane

The present invention is directed to a polyisocyanate polyaddition product, obtained or obtainable according to a process containing reacting at least a polyisocyanate composition (C-I) comprising at least one polyisocyanate; and a composition (C-II) comprising at least one compound (C-A) having at least two functional groups which are reactive towards isocyanate groups, wherein the compound (C-A) has a molecular weight of 500 g/mol or more and comprises polycyclic aromatic moieties. The present invention is further directed to a process for preparing said polyisocyanate polyaddition product and the use thereof in a cable, conveyor belt, roller, seal for gasket or railway pad.

Process for preparing a polyurethane using a polyester polyol comprising polycyclic aromatic moieties

A polyurethane, in particular a thermoplastic polyurethane, is obtainable or obtained by reacting at least a polyisocyanate composition and a polyol composition. The polyol composition contains at least one polyester diol or polyether diol, having a number-average molecular weight in the range from 500 to 3000 g/mol, and at least one polysiloxane having two terminal isocyanate-reactive functionalities selected from a thio group, a hydroxyl group, and an amino group. A process can be used for preparing this polyurethane, and a molded body containing the polyurethane is useful. Foam beads based on polyurethane can be obtained or obtainable from the polyurethane, and a process can be used for producing foam beads. Corresponding bead foams are useful.

The present invention relates to a polyurethane, in particular a thermoplastic polyurethane, obtainable or obtained by reacting at least the components (i) to (ii): The invention additionally relates to a process for preparing this polyurethane, to the use thereof, to a molded body comprising the polyurethane. Furthermore, the invention relates to foam beads based on polyurethane, obtained or obtainable from the polyurethane, to a process for producing foam beads and also to bead foams and to the use thereof.

A thermoplastic polyurethane can be obtained by a process involving a reaction of a thermoplastic polyester (PE-1) with a diamine (D1), to obtain a composition (Z1) containing an amide (PA-1), and a reaction of the obtained composition (Z1) with an isocyanate composition (I1), containing at least one polyisocyanate, and a polyol composition (P1). The diamine (D1) has a molecular weight in the range from 50 g/mol to 700 g/mol. A process can produce such a thermoplastic polyurethane, and shaped articles can be made containing the thermoplastic polyurethane.

Hard-phase-modified thermoplastic polyurethane

The present invention relates to thermoplastic polyurethanes obtainable or obtained by reaction of at least one polyisocyanate composition, at least one chain extender (KV1) of general formula (I) and one further chain extender (KV2) selected from the group consisting of compounds having at least two isocyanate-reactive groups having a molecular weight of &#x3c;500 g/mol, and at least one polyol composition. The present invention further relates to a production process for such thermoplastic polyurethanes and to the use of a thermoplastic polyurethane according to the invention or of a thermoplastic polyurethane obtainable or obtained by a process according to the invention for producing extrusion products, films and molded articles.
