A VCR apparatus may include a connecting rod at which a small end forming a hole having a circular shape to be rotatably connected with a piston pin moving together with the piston and a large end rotatably connected with a crank pin eccentrically arranged with respect to the crankshaft are formed; an eccentric cam concentrically arranged and rotatably disposed in the hole of the small end and configured so that the piston pin is eccentrically inserted thereinto and is rotatably connected therewith; a latching pin disposed in the small end to make a reciprocal rectilinear motion in a direction of rotation axis of the small end and operated to selectively latch the small end with the eccentric cam in one among at least two relative positions between the small end and the eccentric cam; and an acting oil passage formed at the connecting rod.

Variable compression ratio apparatus

A variable compression ratio apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a connecting rod, a small end forming an aperture to be rotatably connected with a piston pin moving together with a piston, a larger end rotatably connected with a crankpin eccentrically arranged with respect to the crankshaft. An acting oil passage allows hydraulic pressure to be supplied from the larger end to the small end. An eccentric cam is concentrically arranged and rotatably disposed in the aperture of the small end. The piston pin is inserted thereinto and rotatably connected therewith. A latching pin is disposed in the small end to generate a reciprocal rectilinear motion in a direction of a rotation axis of the small end and selectively latches the small end with the eccentric cam in one of at least two relative positions between the small end and the eccentric cam by hydraulic pressure.

A variable compression ratio apparatus including an eccentric cam interposed at an internal circumference of a front end portion of a connecting rod, in which a first chamber is formed to realize a high compression ratio by a piston by rotating the eccentric cam in one direction and a second chamber is formed to realize a low compression ratio by the piston by rotating the eccentric cam in an opposite direction may include a first spool valve selectively supplying a hydraulic pressure to expand the first chamber or the second chamber for realizing the high compression ratio and the low compression ratio; a second spool valve forming a control hydraulic pressure for the operation of the first spool valve; and an oil control valve controlling the operation of the second spool valve.

A variable compression ratio apparatus is provided and is installed within an engine rotating a crankshaft upon receiving combustion power of a mixture from a piston and changes a mixture compression ratio based on an engine driving condition. The apparatus includes a connecting rod at which a small end forming a circular aperture to be rotatably connected with a piston pin moving together with the piston, a larger end rotatably connected with a crankpin eccentrically arranged with respect to the crankshaft, and an acting oil passage formed to supply hydraulic pressure from the larger end to the small end, are formed. An eccentric cam is concentrically arranged and rotatably disposed in the small end aperture and the piston pin is eccentrically inserted thereinto and is rotatably connected therewith. A latching pin selectively latches the small end with the cam by supply of hydraulic pressure through the acting oil passage.

A variable compression ratio engine includes: a piston; a piston bar which is connected to the piston; a first connecting link which is connected to the piston bar through a first joint; a main body which is connected to the first connecting link through a second joint and includes a third joint and a fourth joint; a crank shaft which includes a fifth joint; a second connecting link which is connected to the main body through the fourth joint and connected to the crank shaft through the fifth joint to rotate the crank shaft; and a control link which is connected to the main body through the third joint and selectively changes a position of the third joint.

Variable compression ratio engine

A variable compression ratio apparatus may include: a connecting rod having an end connected with a crank pin of a crank shaft; a plunger housing formed at the other end of the connecting rod, the plunger housing having a space to which a plunger is inserted. In particular, the plunger moves upwardly and downwardly, and an outer circumference surface of the plunger contacts an inner circumference surface of the plunger housing. The apparatus further includes a protrusion protruded from the plunger to the plunger housing and connected with a piston, and a hydraulic pressure control valve for supplying hydraulic pressure to the space and moving the plunger by supplying hydraulic pressure.

A vehicle roller finger follower may include a main body including a supporting portion and a wall portion having one end portion integrally extending in a width direction of the supporting portion at both sides; and a pallet portion formed toward an outside in the width direction of the main body at the other end portion of the wall portion, wherein the wall portion has a mounting hole to mount a bearing, and a connection portion is formed at a lower portion of the wall portion at a position corresponding to the mounting hole.

Roller finger follower

A variable compression ratio device is provided. The device includes a connecting rod connected to a piston in a cylinder and an eccentric cam interposed between a piston pin and the connecting rod. The eccentric cam moves the piston vertically to vary a compression ratio according to an eccentric cam rotation position. A hydraulic controller adjusts hydraulic fluid supplied to first and second chambers formed between the eccentric cam and the connecting rod. The first chamber rotates the eccentric cam in one direction by supplied hydraulic fluid. The second chamber rotates the eccentric cam in another direction by the supplied hydraulic fluid. A position sensor senses a piston position. A compression ratio controller calculates a target compression ratio according to an operating condition of an engine, calculates a current compression ratio based on the piston, and adjusts the eccentric cam rotation position using an oil control valve.

Variable compression ratio device and control method thereof

A variable compression ratio device may include a piston pin having first and second plunger spaces, a plunger device including a first plunger that is disposed to reciprocate in the first plunger space, a second plunger and a connection pipe that connects between the first and second plungers, a first check valve disposed in a first check space to move oil from a pipe passage to the first check space in a first direction, a second check valve disposed in a second check space to move the oil from the pipe passage to a second check space in a second direction; and a return member elastically supporting the second plunger to one side.

A variable compression ratio apparatus, which is provided to an engine rotating a crank shaft upon receiving combustion power of a mixture from a piston for changing a compression ratio of the mixture, may include a connecting rod transferring combustion power of the mixture received from the piston to the crankshaft, and including a small end rotatably connected with the piston and a large end forming a circular hole, a crank pin, an eccentric cam disposed to be concentrically rotatable in the hole of the large end, an eccentric link at which the eccentric cam is disposed at a first end, a variable link having a first end rotatably connected with a second end of the eccentric link, a control link having a first end rotatably connected with a second end of the variable link, and a control shaft controlled by a controller and rotated together with the control link.

A variable compression ratio apparatus may include: a piston pin; a small diameter eccentric cam disposed on a piston; a large diameter eccentric cam disposed between the small diameter eccentric cam and a small end portion of a connecting rod; a first plunger movably disposed in a first plunger space inside the piston pin; a second plunger movably disposed in a second plunger space formed inside the piston pin; and first and second oil injection nozzles disposed at a lower portion of the piston. In particular, the first and second oil injection nozzles control a control position of the first and second plungers by supplying hydraulic pressure to an end portion of the first plunger and the other portion of the second plunger through first and second guide passages formed inside the piston by injecting oil to the lower portion of the piston.

A variable compression ratio device mounted to an engine, the engine rotating a crankshaft using a combustion force of a gas mixture and a piston, the variable compression ratio device changing a compression ratio of the mixture and including a connecting rod including a small end rotatably connected to the piston and a big end portion formed with a circular hole to be eccentrically rotatably connected to the crankshaft, a crank pin provided in the crankshaft, an eccentric cam provided to be concentrically rotatable in the hole of the big end portion and having a crank pin mounting hole eccentrically inserted with the crank pin to be rotatably connected, and a cam rotation unit provided inside the eccentric cam and rotating the eccentric cam in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction in a hole of the big end portion by a selectively supplied hydraulic pressure.

A variable valve lift apparatus that changes a lift of a valve in an engine may include: an outer body; an inner body; a cam contact portion disposed in the second space, rotatably connected to the inner body, and contacting the cam so that the inner body makes a lever motion according to rotation of the cam; a connecting shaft disposed and the one end of the inner body and connect the outer body with the inner body; and a lost motion spring, wherein the inner body is selectively fixed to the outer body or is selectively released from fixing with the outer body, and both ends of the connecting shaft protrude to both sides in the width direction of the outer body and a valve contact portion, which contacts a valve, is formed at the both ends.

Variable valve lift apparatus

A variable valve lift apparatus to vary lift of a valve disposed at an engine may include an outer body selectively making a lever motion according to rotation of a cam, being adapted such that the valve is connected with one end thereof and a pivot axis of the lever motion is disposed at another end thereof, and forming an inside space, an inner body disposed in the inside space of the outer body and adapted such that one end thereof is rotatably connected with the one end of the outer body, a connecting shaft disposed so as to penetrate the one end of the outer body and the one end of the inner body and connect the outer body with the inner body, and a lost motion spring provided so as to return the inner body which is relatively rotated with the outer body around the connecting shaft.

A variable valve lift apparatus that changes a lift of a valve in an engine may include an outer body selectively pivoting based on rotation of a cam, having a first end configured to be connected with a valve and a second end mounted with a pivot shaft, and having an internal space formed in the outer body, an inner body pivoting based on rotation of the cam, disposed in the internal space of the outer body, and having a first end rotatably connected to the first end of the outer body, a connecting shaft disposed through the first end of the outer body and the first end of the inner body and connecting the outer body and the inner body to each other, and a lost motion spring having a portion fixed to the outer body and another portion fixed to the inner body.
