A method of repairing a glass of a display device includes disposing the glass including a first surface, a second surface opposite to the first surface, and a scratch formed on the first surface, the scratch facing toward a gravitational direction, disposing a heating plate on the first surface of the glass, and irradiating a laser on the second surface. A transmittance rate of the laser passing through the glass is greater than an absorption rate of the laser being absorbed in the glass. A portion of the laser irradiated to the second surface reaches the heating plate. The laser reaching the heating plate generates heat. Heat is transmitted to the glass. A portion of the glass adjacent to the scratch is melted by the heat. The portion of the melted glass fills the scratch.

Method of repairing glass for display device

A display apparatus includes a display panel configured to display an image. A first mold is disposed under the display panel and includes a plurality of sidewall portions. A second mold is disposed adjacent to one of the sidewall portions and is coupled to the first mold. At least one flexible circuit board is connected to the display panel and is disposed between the first and second molds. The second mold includes a bottom mold covering one edge area of a bottom surface of the first mold. A cover mold covers the one sidewall portion of the first mold. A first distance between an inner side surface of the cover mold and an outer side surface of the one sidewall portion of the first mold is substantially constant.

Display apparatus having a durable flexible circuit board arrangement

A display device including: a display panel including a first substrate and a second substrate that are coupled to and face each other; a first polarizing plate attached to the second substrate of the display panel; a second polarizing plate attached to the first substrate of the display panel; and a side cover layer. The first polarizing plate has a first extended portion that extends outwardly beyond an end portion of the second substrate, and the second polarizing plate has a second extended portion that extends outwardly beyond an end portion of the first substrate. The side cover layer is between the first and second extended portions of the first and second polarizing plates and covers a first side surface of the first substrate and a second side surface of the second substrate that are near the first and second extended portions, respectively.

Display device

A display device includes a light source, a light guide plate including a light incident surface facing the light source, a middle chassis disposed on the light guide plate, and a display panel disposed on the middle chassis. The middle chassis includes a first portion and a connection portion extending from an end of the first portion, and a second portion extending from the connection portion. The second portion is spaced apart from at least a portion of the first portion in a vertical direction, and overlaps the portion of the first portion in the vertical direction.

Display device and method of manufacturing the same

A display apparatus includes a display panel and a first protection member which accommodates the display panel. The first protection member includes first sidewalls facing each other and second sidewalls connected to ends of the first sidewalls to face each other. The first and second sidewalls are disposed to surround a side surface of the display panel, the first sidewalls are curved symmetrical to each other, and a distance between central portions of the first sidewalls facing each other is a minimum distance between the first sidewalls, and a distance between ends of the first sidewalls facing each other is a maximum distance between the first sidewalls.
