A touch screen driver and method for driving the same are disclosed. The touch screen driver includes a Tx driving circuit which sequentially supplies a pair of out-of-phase composed of a first driving signal and a second driving signal which has a phase difference of 180&#xb0; with respect to the first driving signal and the second driving signal driving signals to Tx lines, wherein the first signal and the second signal are simultaneously supplied to the adjacent Tx lines, respectively; and an Rx driving circuit which samples a charge of the touch sensor received through the Rx lines coupled with the Tx lines and converts the sampled charge into digital data.

A touch sensing system and a driving method thereof are provided. The touch sensing system includes: a touch screen drive circuit which senses a change in the amount of electric charge in touch sensors during a sensing period, generates raw data and temporarily stores it in a buffer memory, transmits the raw data read out from the buffer memory to an algorithm execution unit during a raw data transmission period, and calculates the coordinates of touch input by the algorithm execution unit during an algorithm execution period. The touch screen drive circuit controls the amount of data stored in the buffer memory and the start timing of a read operation to make the sensing period and the raw data transmission period overlap each other.

Touch sensing system and driving method thereof, and display device using the touch sensing system

A touch screen apparatus and a driving method thereof are provided. The touch screen drive circuit performs a setup operation for selecting Tx lines to be supplied with the drive signal and Rx lines to receive the voltages of the touch sensors, a sensing operation for supplying a drive signal to the Tx lines and receiving and sampling touch sensor voltages through the Rx lines, an ADC operation for converting the sampled voltages into digital data, a coordinate detection operation for analyzing the digital data by a preset touch detection algorithm and estimating the coordinates of a touch input position, and a data transmission operation for transmitting touch coordinate data comprising the coordinates to an external system. At least two operations among the setup operation, the sensing operation, and the ADC operation are performed in parallel.
