Disclosed are a refrigerator and a method of manufacturing a door of the refrigerator. The door includes a door frame formed with at least one opening, at least one front panel coupled to a front surface of the door frame to open or close the opening, a rear panel coupled to a rear surface of the door frame to form a foaming cavity together with the front panel and provided with a rack receiving water bottles, and a decorative member formed at a front surface of the front panel. A chamfer is formed at an edge portion of the door frame.

Refrigerator and method of manufacturing door thereof

A refrigerator, and more particularly, a refrigerator equipped with a machinery chamber door, which is provided to open or close a machinery chamber formed at an upper portion of a body of the refrigerator. The refrigerator includes a body with a storage chamber, and with a machinery chamber provided at an upper portion of the body such that the machinery chamber is partitioned from the storage chamber, an opening portion provided at one side of the machinery chamber, a machinery chamber door hingably coupled to the opening portion such that the machinery chamber door can be rotated up and down to open or close the machinery chamber, a recess member provided to the machinery chamber door and defined with a recess, and an insertion member inserted into the recess and fixed to the body.

Refrigerator

A cabinet for recessed refrigerators, which has an integrated single inner casing. The cabinet has an outer casing to define an appearance of the cabinet, the outer casing being a box-shaped body open at the front thereof, and an integrated single inner casing installed in the outer casing, with a predetermined space defined between the inner and outer casings. The integrated single inner casing defines therein at least two storage compartments open at the fronts thereof, with a partition wall formed between the at least two storage compartments to maintain a predetermined gap between the storage compartments. The cabinet has an improved appearance and a stable structure, in addition to reducing the number of elements thereof, and improving assembly efficiency.

Cabinet for recessed refrigerators

A refrigerator including a body provided therein with a storage chamber, an uplifted part projected from a rear portion of a top of the body so that a cooling room is formed to have a space extending above the storage chamber, a machine room provided above a front portion of the top of the body and in front of the uplifted part, a cooling unit removably disposed in the cooling room, an evaporator and a cold air circulating fan provided in a cold air passage of the cooling unit, and circulating passages formed in upper and rear portions of the storage chamber, respectively, to be connected to the cold air passage of the cooling unit.

A refrigerator in which a machine room and an air cooling chamber having an evaporator, are placed at a top of a cabinet to maximize the storage capacity of lower sections of storage compartments. The refrigerator includes a cabinet defining a storage compartment therein. A top projection part is formed by projecting a rear portion of a top of the cabinet upward. The top projection part defines the air cooling chamber therein, such that the air cooling chamber extends upward from an upper portion of the storage compartment. The machine room is defined on the top of the cabinet at a position in front of the top projection part, and receives a compressor and a condenser therein.

A refrigerator having a temperature-controlled chamber, which stores food to be readily cooked without a thawing process. A cool air inlet port introduces cool air from the freezer compartment into the temperature-controlled chamber. The cool air inlet port is opened or closed by an intake damper. A cooling fan and a temperature sensor are installed in the temperature-controlled chamber. A cool air discharging duct is provided to guide the cool air from the temperature-controlled chamber into the freezer compartment. An inlet of the cool air discharging duct is connected to a portion of the temperature-controlled chamber. A heater is mounted to an outer surface of the outlet of the cool air discharging duct to perform a defrosting operation.

Refrigerator having temperature controlled chamber

An ice supply device and a refrigerator having the same. The ice supply device includes an ice tray provided with an outlet for discharging ice cubes therethrough at one side thereof, a conveying device installed in the ice tray and rotated to convey the ice cubes toward the outlet, an ice crushing device, installed at the outlet, for crushing the ice cubes conveyed toward the outlet, a pressure device having a hollowed cylindrical structure for pushing the ice cubes to the ice crushing device by applying pressure to the ice cubes, and a catching member, by which the ice cubes outwardly protruded from an inlet of the pressure device are caught. The ice cubes exceeding designated dimensions, which do not pass through the pressure device and are outwardly protruded from the pressure device, are caught by the catching member and are sliced away from main portions of the ice cubes, thereby reducing the sizes of the ice cubes and allowing the ice cubes to be smoothly supplied.

Ice supply device and refrigerator having the same

The cooling air supply device of a refrigerating compartment comprises primary and secondary air supply devices positioned in the rear wall and the ceiling of the freezing compartment, respectively. The primary supply device has vertical flow dividers and horizontal flow dividers for venting the cooling air into the freezing compartment and a by-pass portion for feeding part of the air into the secondary supply device. The secondary supply device has channels along each side wall, and vents for venting some air downwardly and sidewardly and some air downwardly and forwardly.

Cooling air supply device for a freezer compartment

A control apparatus for maximizing an inner space of a freezing chamber of a refrigerator and for providing ready access to a temperature control portion even when the inner space is filled with foodstuffs. The apparatus includes an upper cover recessed into an upper wall of the freezer chamber to contain the temperature control portion and a lamp, a case having a temperature adjustment lever an illumination cover protecting lamp, in which the temperature adjustment lever is engaged with a follower gear of the temperature control portion to control the temperature of the freezing chamber.
