Provided are a microprocessor based on event-processing instruction set and an event-processing method using the same. The microprocessor includes an event register controlling an event according to an event-processing instruction set provided in an instruction set architecture (ISA) and an event controller transmitting externally generated events into the microprocessor. Therefore, the microprocessor may be useful to reduce its unnecessary power consumption by suspending the execution of its program when an instruction decoded to execute the program is an event-processing instruction, and also to cut off its unnecessary power consumption that is caused for an interrupt delay period since the program of the microprocessor may be executed again by immediately re-running the microprocessor with the operation of the event register and the event controller when external events are generated.

A file storage system, a file storing method, and a file searching method. In the file storing method, a single file to be stored is classified into at least one or more objects, and the classified objects are classified into pages with a serial number. One storage device to record the file is selected among a plurality of storage devices connected through a network. One object is allocated to the selected storage device. Pages configuring the file of the object allocated to the selected storage device are stored. When all pages of the file are not stored, the remaining pages are stored by allocating new object to a new storage device. Metadata for managing information about the storage of the file is set. Accordingly, the file can be stored over several disks. In addition, the overall system performance can be increased by setting the file information in the object metadata simply using the least resources.

A distributed object sharing system and a method thereof are provided. In a file server writing method for storing an object in a RAID (redundant array of inexpensive disks) apparatus having a plurality of storage apparatuses, the file server writing method includes: a first process of, when an object writing command for a specific object is generated during error recovery in an erroneous storage apparatus, checking a recovery state of the object with reference to recovery state information provided from a metadata server; a second process of, when the recovery of the object is completed, performing the object writing command on a normal storage apparatus and a recovery storage apparatus; a third process of, when the recovery of the object is proceeding, receiving the recovery state information from the metadata server again, checking the recovery state of the object again, and determining whether or not to perform the second process; a fourth process of, when the second process is determined not to performed, performing the object writing command on only the normal storage apparatus and receiving the recovery state information from the metadata server again; and a fifth process of checking the recovery state of the object with reference to the received recovery state information and, when the recovery of the object is completed, additionally performing the object writing command on the recovery storage apparatus. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent data loss and perform I/O command during error recovery.

Distributed object sharing system and method thereof

A hardware apparatus for receiving a packet for a TCP offload engine (TOE), and receiving system and method using the same are provided. Specifically, information required to protocol processing by a processor is stored in the internal queue included in the packet receiving hardware. Data to be stored in a host memory is transmitted to the host memory after the data is stored in an external memory and protocol processing is performed by the processor. With these techniques, it is possible that a processor can operate asynchronously with a receiving time of a practical packet and it is possible to reduce an overhead that processor deals with unnecessary information.

A cache coherency maintenance system and method of a user file manager in an object-based storage system are provided. According to the cache coherence maintenance system and method, by maintaining the coherency of a writeback cache based on time using a timer, metadata and data information are efficiently managed. Accordingly, even when accesses by users increase, the cost of maintaining the coherency of the cache is distributed to respective user file managers. In this way the performance of the entire object-based storage system is enhanced and the consistency and efficiency of information increase.

System and method of time-based cache coherency maintenance in user file manager of object-based storage system

Provided are a microprocessor suitable for constructing a multi-processor system and a method for controlling the reset and processor ID of the microprocessor. The microprocessor includes decoder receiving a reset ID having a predetermined binary value and a reset signal and decoding the reset ID, an ID generator receiving the decoding result of the decoder and generating at least one microprocessor ID and a reset ID of a microprocessor serially connected to the microprocessor, and a reset vector unit selecting a reset vector according to the decoding result of the decoder. The multi-processor system is constructed such that independent microprocessors of the system respectively generate their own reset vectors and processor IDs when a reset signal is input to the multi-processor system to initialize it. Thus, all the microprocessors of the system can be simultaneously started up when the reset signal is disabled. Accordingly, a resetting process in the multi-processor system is simplified, a period of time required for starting up the microprocessor is reduced, and the multi-processor system is easily designed.

A radio frequency identification (RFID) tag based object position tracking apparatus and method are provided. The apparatus includes a position recognizer including at least one radio frequency identification unit for reading information data on an object through a sensor; and a path analyzing and processing unit for allocating each unique coordinates to the radio frequency identification units based on a relative position in a space where a position recognizer is disposed and recognizing the position of the object and analyzing the path based on the object information data received by the sensor in the radio frequency identification unit corresponding to the unique coordinate. Thus, it is possible to track the path of an object with a low density of RFID tags.

A method of data placement and control in a block-divided distributed disk array is provided. At first, data to store is divided into logical blocks, and each of the divided logical blocks is further divided into a plurality of data blocks. Then, a parity block is created through performing an XOR operation on the data blocks of each logical block in a unit of a strip, and the parity block is arranged at the first block of a strip unit. Then, parity blocks are arranged at a next block of a previous logical block's the last data block through a left/right shifting for uniformly arranging the parity blocks through out all disks in order to fill an empty block between the logical blocks.

Disclosed a method of designing a watermark having the power spectral density optimized so that the detection performance can be improved by employing the whitening filtered detection after the Wiener attack. The power spectral density of the watermark is designed using an optimization method that can improve the entire detection performance by reflecting the gain of the whitening filter after the Wiener attack. A higher detection gain is obtained using the whitening filter after the Wiener attack, and the expected value of the difference between test statistics of the two hypotheses that the watermark exists and the watermark does not exist, respectively, is maximized to optimize the detection performance. Regarding the expected value of the difference between the test statistics as an objective function, the power spectral density of the watermark, which corresponds to a maximum differentiated value of the power spectral density of the watermark using the Lagrange multiplier method, is obtained.
