An organic light emitting display device and a driving method thereof are disclosed. The display device has sub-pixels of multiple colors. In one aspect, the organic light emitting display device detects sub-pixels which are positioned at the edges of the panel. Data for the sub-pixels on the edges are reduced so that colors on the edges are less observable.

Organic light emitting display device and driving method thereof

A foldable display device according to example embodiments includes a flexible display panel including a first display area having at least partially foldable area and a second display area not having the foldable area, a folding sensor in the first display area configured to detect a folding status of the flexible display panel and output a detecting signal which includes the folding status of the flexible display panel, a scan driver configured to sequentially provide scan signals to at least a part of a plurality of scan lines based on the detecting signal, a data driver configured to provide data signals to the flexible display panel based on the detecting signal, and a timing controller configured to convert input image data into corrected image data based on the detecting signal and control the scan driver and the data driver.

Foldable display device

A gate driver includes a plurality of shift registers and a plurality of connection controllers. The shift registers are connected to a plurality of gate lines of a stretchable display panel, respectively. The shift registers are grouped into a plurality of shift register groups. N adjacent shift registers constitute each of the shift register groups, where N is an integer greater than or equal to 2. The connection controllers change a connection structure of the N adjacent shift registers included in the each of the shift register groups according to whether the stretchable display panel is stretched.

A display apparatus includes a display and a controller. The display includes a plurality color sub-pixels, each including an organic light emitting diode and a driving transistor to drive the organic light emitting diode. The driving transistor drives in a saturation region for a normal mode and in a linear region for a standby mode. The controller controls a first portion of preset-color sub-pixels among the color sub-pixels to emit light and a second portion of the preset-color sub-pixels among the color sub-pixels to not emit light in the standby mode.

A pixel for a display panel includes an organic light emitting diode and two driving transistors. The first driving transistor supplies current from a first power source to the organic light emitting diode based on a voltage applied to a first node. The second driving transistor coupled between an electrode of the first driving transistor and the organic light emitting diode. The second driving transistor is turned on or turned off corresponding to a data signal supplied from a data line. A third transistor, coupled between a gate electrode of the second driving transistor and the data line, is turned on when a scan signal is supplied to a scan line. A compensation circuit is coupled to the first node to compensate for a voltage corresponding to a threshold voltage of the first driving transistor.

A display device includes a display unit, a gamma voltage generator, a gamma voltage unit, a data driver, and a timing controller. The display unit includes pixels emitting light according to data signals supplied through data lines. The gamma voltage generator is configured to generate a first set of reference gamma voltages, and to supply the first set of reference gamma voltages to a gamma voltage unit.
