A rechargeable battery pack according to one or more exemplary embodiments of the present invention includes: unit cells including rechargeable batteries stacked along a first direction; rechargeable battery modules including the unit cells and electrically connected to each other, and including end plates at outermost ends of the rechargeable battery modules; and a combining member connecting the end plates of the rechargeable battery modules, wherein each of the end plates includes: a main body facing the unit cells; a flange bent from the main body and facing the combining member; a first fastening member connecting the flange to the combining member; and a handling opening in the main body at a side of the first fastening member.

Rechargeable battery pack

A battery pack includes a housing having an opened top and the housing accommodates at least one battery module and a fuse therein, a housing cover that covers the opened top of the housing and the housing cover includes an opening therein that corresponds to a region of the housing that accommodates the fuse, and an opening cover mountable to the opening of the housing cover and a state of the opening cover is changeable between an opened state and a closed state. The opening cover includes an interlock switch on an inner surface of the opening cover and a grip portion on an outer surface of the opening cover, and the grip portion is arranged along a vertical direction with respect to the interlock switch.

A rechargeable battery pack is disclosed. In one aspect, the rechargeable battery pack includes multiple a plurality of sets of unit cells adjacently placed to each other, wherein each unit cell includes a rechargeable battery and a plurality of rechargeable battery modules each configured to electrically connect a corresponding set of the unit cells to each other, wherein each rechargeable battery module includes a pair of end plates respectively placed on outermost opposing sides thereof. The rechargeable battery pack also includes a coupling member connecting the end plates of the rechargeable battery modules to each other. Each of the end plates includes a first flange having a first width and extending from a bent portion of a main body to be fastened to the coupling member and a second flange having a second width smaller than the first width and extending from a middle portion of the first flange.

A battery module includes a plurality of battery cells, a temperature sensor and a case. The plurality of battery cells are aligned in one direction. The temperature sensor has a first surface contacting at least one battery cell of the plurality of battery cells to measure a temperature of the at least one battery cell. The case presses against a second surface of the temperature sensor opposite to the first surface of the temperature sensor. In the battery module, the contact between the first surface of the temperature sensor and the battery cell is maintained by the case. Accordingly, the temperature sensor can precisely measure the temperature of the battery cell, thereby improving the safety of the battery module.

Battery module

A battery pack includes a plurality of bare cells electrically connected to one another and a housing that accommodates the bare cells therein. The housing includes a frame portion and a pair of side portions respectively connected to one end and the other end of the frame portion. The housing includes a guide portion to guide a flow of fluid, the guide portion being located where the one end of the frame portion and one side portion of the pair of side portions are adjacent to each other.

A battery module including: a plurality of battery cells arranged in a direction and each including a terminal portion on a first surface thereof; a pair of end plates each configured to face a wide surface of a battery cell at a respective outer end of the plurality of battery cells; side plates configured to support side surfaces of the battery cells at respective sides of the plurality of battery cells; and a cover configured to cover the first surfaces of the battery cells or second surfaces of the battery cells opposite the first surfaces, and a side plate of the side plates includes a bent portion that is bent to overlap with an end portion of the cover, and the cover is configured to press the bent portion.

A battery module including at least two battery cells, each battery cell including a terminal surface having a terminal therein, a back surface, and a side surface extending in a plane between the terminal surface and the back surface, the back surface of one battery cell facing the back surface of another battery cell such that the at least two battery cells have face-to-face back surfaces; a housing fixing the at least two battery cells together; and a mid-support between the at least two battery cells, the mid-support including at least one base portion in an interposed, adjoining relationship with the face-to-face back surfaces of the battery cells, and at least one flange portion extending in a plane parallel to the plane of the side surface.

A battery module includes a plurality of battery cells, an end plate at a side of the plurality of battery cells, a bottom plate at a bottom of the plurality of battery cells, and a reinforcing member at a first surface of the bottom plate.

A battery pack includes a plurality of battery modules; a housing accommodating the plurality of battery modules therein, and having an opened top; a controller on the plurality of battery modules inside the housing; and an isolation portion located between the plurality of battery modules and the controller.

A battery pack includes a battery module including a plurality of battery cells that are electrically connected, a first case accommodating the battery module, and a second case opposite to the first case so as to be coupled to the first case. A battery module includes first and second plates opposite each other, first and second frames respectively connecting tops and bottoms of the first and second plates to define a casing, the first frame being connected to the second frame and having a shape corresponding to the second frame, and a plurality of battery cells stacked in the casing, each battery cell including a first surface with a terminal portion, the first surface of each battery cell facing the first plate, a second surface opposite the first surface, and a pair of third surfaces spaced part from each other, each third surface connecting the first and second surfaces and being parallel to the second frame.

An interlock pin includes a pin portion and a body portion. The pin portion includes a plurality of electrical input/output pins. The body portion accommodates at least a portion of the pin portion. In the interlock pin, the pins of the pin portion extend from the body portion along a first direction and, a furthest point from one end of the body portion is further along the first direction than a physical contact point between the body portion and the pin portion.

A battery pack includes a plurality of battery cells arranged along one direction, a top cover covering the plurality of battery cells and the top cover includes an opening in at least one portion thereof, and a temperature measuring member including a main body portion mounted in the opening and a wire portion accommodating a wire connected to a sensor. The sensor is built into the main body portion and measures a temperature of at least one of the battery cells.

A top cover includes a cover plate covering a plurality of battery cells and having an opening in at least one portion thereof, and at least one temperature measuring member mounted in the opening so as to measure a temperature of one the battery cells, the temperature measuring member having a temperature measuring portion coming in contact with the battery cell.
