A thin flexible floor mat system is configured to resist penetration by high heeled shoes and be capable of being easily rolled up in long segments. The floor mat is constituted by a series of small square sections and are connected together with connectors that permit easy deployment and removal of the mat system by detaching segments of the mat from each other. The mat is flexible but resists penetration from high heels and other forms of traffic by virtue maintaining of a predetermined amount of flexibility through the use of auxiliary supports. Further stability is provided by one-piece ramp corners.

Spillage control safety floor matting

A rubber or plastic floor mat has a series of parallel upper ribs ( ) on its upper surface which define slots ( ) in which respective strips ( ) or carpeting or the like are removably held. The strips are retained along their lengths by retaining means which run continually or continuously along the slots. The strip retainers include hook-and-loop fastening (e.g., VELCRO), and/or overhanging edges above the strip edges, preferably formed in one-piece fashion along the side of the upper ribs adjacent the slots. The overhangs may be interrupted, e.g., crenelated as seen from above, and may include bevels.

Universal mat with removable strips

A floor mat system having a plurality of individual floor mats disposed in a frame assembly includes floor mats sized in a manner so that a transport vehicle having wheels can be rolled over the floor mat system in any direction without two wheels of the transport vehicle contacting a single floor mat at any given time. This floor mat arrangement prevents two wheels of the transport vehicle from working together to dislodge the floor mats. As such, each individual floor mat of the system has a width and a length sized to be less than the wheel base distance and the tract distance of the transport vehicle. The width and length of each floor mat is also designed such that two wheels cannot reside on a single floor mat diagonally. The floor mats may also have a plurality of support knobs extending down from the ribs to provide additional support to the floor mat. The support knobs are configured and located so as not to clog the fluid flow channels under the floor mat.

Floor mat system for supporting heavy loads

A floor mat system and clip for use therewith can be installed to any floor and includes a floor mat formed from a series of first and second criscrossed ribs which form rectangular-shaped openings therebetween, and clip having a rectangular-shape base and four outwardly extending raised projections. Certain of the second ribs have an enlarged bottom which forms a latching shoulder on each side thereof. The projections of the clip have a generally triangular-shaped end which snap-fits with the latching shoulder of the certain second ribs and which aligns with certain of the openings of the floor mat. A pair of holes are formed in the clip which align with other of the openings of the floor mat when attached thereto. A second embodiment is presented in which the clip is adjustably mounted on the floor with a pair of grommets. The adjustability of the clip with respect to the grommets allows nominal movement of the clip along the floor, facilitates reattachment of the floor mat to the clip, and helps to overcome environmental factors such as thermal expansion and contraction, as well as other factors.

Longitudinal connectors are configured so that the matting connected to half the connector comes away relatively easily while the matting connected to the other half of the connector is held tightly to the connector. Ramp structures are arranged on all outside edges of the mat system. Different connection arrangements between the mat and the ramps are provided.

A new kick plate arrangement for conventional metal shelving is provided by a support clip which fits into a conventional kick plate holder. The support clip supports the kick plate by means of a horizontal extension. The kick plate can be rotated up and under the horizontal support structure upon which the shelving is mounted. A second embodiment includes a plastic connecting device which fits onto a conventional horizontal shelf support. The plastic connecting device supports the plastic kick plate using a cylindrical horizontal support along the horizontal shoulder of the kick plate. The kick plate can be rotated up and under the conventional horizontal support structure upon which the shelving is mounted. The cylindrical horizontal support structure is attached to the kick plate by use of slots in the front face of the kick plate through which the cylindrical horizontal support passes before being rotated to fit against the horizontal shoulder of the kick plate, and is supported by a clamping device which connects to the conventional horizontal support structure upon which the shelving is mounted.

A pair of stackable, nestable blocks for elevating the leg of a bed to a plurality of selectable heights employs first and second blocks that each have upper and lower ends, with recesses being provided in at least one of the ends of each block that can be oriented upwardly to receive and support the foot or lower end region of a bed leg. Each block has a different length, which enables each block, used separately, to support the bed leg at a different height. Recesses of differing depths preferably are provided in opposite ends of at least one of the blocks, whereby the block or blocks that have dual-depth recesses can be inverted to provide bed leg support at two different heights. One of the two blocks preferably has a larger size than the other and is provided with recess(es) large enough to receive and support one or both of the end regions of the other of the blocks, whereby the smaller-size block can be stacked and nested atop the larger-size block to provide still more bed leg elevation heights. Five heights may be provided utilizing two blocks of different length and size if only one of the blocks is provided with different depth recesses. Additional bed leg elevation heights may be provided if both blocks have different depth recesses in their opposite ends.

An electrical receptacle includes a housing that is defined by identical nonconductive housing halves which are held in side-by-side assembled relationship by a metal mounting bracket. The mounting bracket carries a ground wire connection screw that extends through a rear wall of the housing and threads into a threaded rear end region of a metal post which extends centrally through the housing to provide a threaded front end region configured to receive a cover plate mounting screw. Two nonconductive rotors are journaled by the housing for independent rotation between 'off' positions and various 'on' orientations for selectively supplying electrical energy to sets of female contacts that are carried by the rotors. A leaf spring is carried within the hollow interior of the housing for engaging detent formations of the rotors for releasably retaining the rotors in 'off' and 'on' orientations. The rotor carried contacts have front end regions that are configured to receive and conductively engage the metal prongs of conventional male plugs, and rear end regions that are configured to selectively engage forwardly facing conductive surfaces provided on at least one circuit board which is carried within the hollow interior of the housing near the rear wall of the housing. Wire connection terminals carried on opposite sides of the housing deliver electrical energy to the electrically conductive surfaces of the circuit board. Crimpable formations provided on the metal mounting bracket and/or the metal post may be utilized to maintain the assembled relationships of components of the receptacle.
