Systems and methods are described for managing access control. An example method may comprise receiving an address associated with a user device. An identifier may be determined based on the address. Based on the identifier, the user device may be determined to be associated with a trusted user. Based on the determination that the user device is associated with the trusted user, the user device may be granted access to a trusted network service.

Systems and methods for managing access control

Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described for optimizing user content consuming experience by recognizing and classifying different sounds while a user views a program. The system may have or may access information related to the program audio being presented, enabling it to distinguish between conversations occurring in the program audio and conversations between users in the viewing environment. The system may turn the program volume down on one or more sound producing devices if it detects a conversation. The system may turn the program volume up if it detects an interrupting noise. The system may also adjust the program content based on locations of various objects within the listening or viewing environment, and types of users in the environment.

Content audio adjustment

Systems and methods are provided for allowing responses to offers displayed with digital content. The responses may be provided on a receiver system via a conventional feedback through the same distribution channel through which the content and offer were provided, or through an alternative channel, with data being transmitted from an alternative channel device to a transacting entity. For time-shifted playback, content is identified and time-adapted offers may be provided, taking into account factors such as the content, the time of play back, the date of play back, and so forth. The alternate response channel may be more suitable for time-adapted offer responses then for contemporaneously transmitted offers.

Digital content and response processing system and method

A digital content distribution scheme allows for monitoring of a wide range of data, such as system and behavior events of audiences and playback devices, as well as environmental factors, such as those present at the playback venue. More 'static' data may be considered, such as subscriptions, settings, bandwidth, and the like. Based upon the data considered, real or near-real time changes in the content provided to audiences may be made. The changes may be based upon predictions of audience interest made by prediction engine. The techniques may also allow for time-shifting and adaptation of content based upon playback times.

Multi-dimensional digital content selection system and method

A method and system are provided which allow for the standardization of object-oriented metadata for units of supplemental data and the improved association of video assets with objects. By defining such a standard, metadata can be added that addresses the lack of creative control and flexibility for authors of supplemental content and interactive elements. The system provided generates objects and a separate object track which is associated with specific assets in the audio/video tracks of produced content. According to one embodiment, the system provided may be implemented to include a central object database. Each object record may include an object's unique identification, a description of the object, and additional production details. Objects may be defined in local and central databases prior to and even during production. By defining a standard for supplemental and interactive data as objects, common objects may be referenced more efficiently, and the objects themselves may be represented (e.g., in a video editor) graphically and organized with greater efficacy.

Content-object synchronization and authoring of dynamic metadata

Supplemental digital content is provided to be played in synchronization with primary digital content on a media device, such as a television, handheld device, smart phone, computer, and so forth. The supplemental digital content is timed to a long-form version of the primary content and is then synchronized based upon a linearized content (e.g., broadcast) schedule of the long-form content with populated pods.

Supplementary digital content is provided to be played with primary digital content on a media device, such as a television, handheld device, smart phone, computer, and so forth. The primary digital content is sampled, and the time of the sample is noted. The primary digital content is identified, and the supplementary digital content is selected and transmitted, with an indication of timing for play of the supplementary digital content based upon the sample time. Synchronization of the primary and supplementary digital content playback is based upon reference to the sample time.

Primary digital content played on a media device, such as a television, handheld device, smart phone, computer, or other device, is sampled and data is derived from the sample for identification of the primary digital content. Automatic content recognition is performed to determine the primary digital content. The time of the sample may also be determined. Supplementary digital content is then selected and transmitted to the media device, or to another device, based upon the identified primary digital content. The supplementary digital content may be adapted in layout, type, length, or other manners, based upon the platform and/or configuration of the media device or any other device to which the supplementary digital content is transmitted.
