A bonding apparatus includes: an anisotropic conductive film ('ACF') attachment unit which attaches a first ACF and a second ACF onto a display panel assembly; a compression unit which compresses a first chip-on-film (“COF”) on the first ACF and compresses a second COF on the second ACF; and a buffer unit which rotates the display panel assembly, on which the first ACF and the second COF are compressed, on a plane.

Bonding apparatus and bonding method

A display device includes a base substrate including a display area and a non-display area at a periphery of the display area; a first signal wiring on the non-display area of the base substrate and including a first wiring part and a second wiring part connected to the first wiring part; and a printed circuit board including a lead wiring on the first signal wiring. The second wiring part includes an open part passing through a surface of the second wiring part in a thickness direction, the second wiring part includes a long side extending along a first direction and a short side extending along a second direction intersecting the first direction, and a separation distance between the open part and an end of the short side of the second wiring part in the first direction is within about 0.4 times the long side of the second wiring part.

Display device

A chip on film for a display device, the chip on film includes: a base substrate; a lead wire disposed on the base substrate; and a driving chip connected to the lead wire, wherein the lead wire includes: a first lead part having a first thickness; and a second lead part disposed between the first lead part and the driving chip and having a second thickness greater than the first thickness, the second lead part being connected to the driving chip. The first lead part and the second lead part include a same material.

A display device includes: a substrate including a display area in which a plurality of pixels are disposed and a non-display area adjacent to the display area; a plurality of pads disposed in the non-display area; an inspection line disposed in the non-display area of the substrate and being spaced apart from the pad; a conductive member connecting the pad and the inspection line; and a tape-automated bonding integrated circuit (TAB-IC) disposed on the conductive member.
