A transformer, according to one possible embodiment, includes: a bobbin part formed by stacking a plurality of bobbins including external connection terminals; and coils respectively wound around the plurality of bobbins. At least one bobbin of the plurality of bobbins includes withdrawing grooves formed in a space between the external connection terminals, the respective coil wound around the at least one bobbin being withdrawn outside the bobbin via the withdrawing grooves and coupled to the external connection terminal.

The transformer includes: a bobbin part including inner and outer bobbins each including a pipe shaped body part having a though-hole formed in an inner portion thereof and a flange part protruding outwardly from both ends of the body part; coils respectively wound around the inner and outer bobbins; and a core electromagnetically coupled to the coils to thereby form a magnetic path, wherein the inner bobbin is inserted into the through-hole of the outer bobbin to thereby be coupled to the outer bobbin and at least one of the inner and outer bobbins includes the flange part having a width larger than a thickness of the body part.

There are provided a thin transformer capable of being used in a thin display device such as a liquid crystal display (LCD) device, a light emitting diode (LED) device, and a flat panel display device including the thin transformer. The transformer includes a bobbin part including inner and outer bobbins each including a pipe shaped body part having a though-hole formed in an inner portion thereof and a flange part protruding outwardly from both ends of the body part; coils respectively wound around the inner and outer bobbins; and a core electromagnetically coupled to the coils to thereby form a magnetic path, wherein the outer bobbin includes a support part formed at the flange part formed at an upper end of the body part of the outer bobbin so as to cover a portion of the through-hole, and the inner bobbin is coupled to the outer bobbin while having one end supported by the support part.

There are provided a transformer and a flat panel display device including the same capable of securing leakage inductance and allowing easy manufacturing. The transformer according to the embodiment of the present invention includes: a bobbin part including a plurality of bobbins each including a tube-shaped body part having a penetration hole therein and one of flange parts protruded outwardly from both sides of the body part; a core inserted into the penetration holes in the bobbins to form a magnetic circuit; a coil part including respective coils wound around the bobbins; and a bobbin fixing member combined with either side surface of the bobbin part in which at least two of the bobbins are laminated, to fix and combine at least two of the bobbins.

The present invention provides a transformer capable of driving a plurality of lamps with one transformer by increasing the number of outer bobbins wrapping an outer circumferential surface of an inner bobbin wound by a coil and the number of output terminals by winding other coils around the outer bobbins.
