A mounting board has a board, retaining members mounted on the upper surface of the board, and a part retained by the retaining members. The part is mounted such that at least a part thereof is arranged below the lower surface of the board, and that the part is electrically connected to the board through the retaining members. Such an arrangement as described above eliminates the need of connecting the discharge gap element to the board by using lead wires, and of mounting it on the upper surface of the board. This lowers the height of the board and admits an elevated part.

Providing a high-voltage-side terminal with means for preventing a core inserted into a central hole of a bobbin from getting out of position securely fixes the core to the predetermined position, at the time a transformer which is a part of an ignitor is assembled, during the work proceeds from the inserting step of the core to the next step. Thus, at the time the ignitor-integral type bulb socket is assembled, the core hardly moves out of the predetermined position and there is a less possibility that the core gets out of position. Accordingly, this does not require so high machining accuracy of both members and reduces the cost for machining the product as well as for inspecting the dimension control or the like.

A transformer for an igniter, in which a primary coil and a secondary coil are wound around a bobbin, is composed of a plurality of disk-shaped partition walls disposed on the bobbin, around which the primary coil and the secondary coil are wound, so as to protrude from all circumferential surface of the bobbin in a radial direction of the bobbin and to form a plurality of coil winding grooves in layers, and a plurality of cut-out portions functioning as a coil taking-in portion and a plurality of coil delivery portions of the disk-shaped partition walls. Therefore, the stabilization of a winding operation is obtained, the loss of coils due to the bending of the coils can be prevented, films of coils can be protected, a small-sized transformer for an igniter can be obtained, and an automatic winding operation can be performed.

Valve timing adjusting device

Since the conventionally the chip seal and the metallic blade spring have been formed separately, assembly efficiency has been poor (for example when the chip seal is inserted, the metallic blade spring detaches and falls out) which lowers productivity. As a result, the cross sectional shape of the chip seal which pushes against the rotor is made in the shape of a letter L.

Vane type hydraulic actuator

When a rotor and a case are formed from different materials, deformation and early wear due to insufficient strength of an engagement hole of a lock means which locks the relative rotation of the rotor and the case can be prevented. Furthermore it is possible to maintain a clearance between the sliding faces of the rotor and the case in response to temperature variations. A second rotating body,is formed from a material with a smaller linear expansion coefficient than a first rotating body,and an engagement hole,is provided in the second rotating body,and which engages and disengages the lock mechanism.

Valve timing regulation device

The present invention relates to a lock mechanism for a valve timing regulation device which regulates the timing of the opening and closing of engine valves, the lock mechanism locks or releases a first rotating body and a second rotating body in response to the operational condition of an engine. The lock mechanism includes a radial groove,provided in either the first rotating body,or the second rotating body,and extending in a radial direction of the rotating body. A locking member,is slidably inserted into the radial groove,, and the locking member is urged towards a center of the rotating body by an urging means,. An oil pressure is applied to the locking member,in a direction opposite to the urging direction. In such a way, it is possible to assemble the locking member,onto an end face in an axial direction other than a vane,or a shoe,in either the first rotating body or the second rotating body, as a result, each vane,or each shoe,can be formed with approximately the same circumferential length. Thus, it is possible to expand the angular range to be regulated by the valve timing regulation device and to reduce the degree of unbalance in the device by a large amount.

A lamp socket has a socket body with a plugging section in which a lamp plug is removably plugged. In the plugging section, there are a central terminal and a side terminal. An insulation seal member provides electrical isolation between the central terminal and the side terminal and is prevented from dislodging when the lamp plug is removed from the socket body by forming a structure from at least one of the central terminal and the insulation seal member which are adapted to fit into one another. Thus, the removal of the insulation seal member when the lamp plug is plugged out of the socket body can be prevented by the central terminal of the socket body and/or the insulation seal member itself. Therefore, there is no need to install an additional component such as a stopper. Thus, the number of components and its manufacturing cost can be reduced compared with a conventional lamp socket. In addition, this avoids problems such as defects in the lamp or the lighting mechanism caused when a lamp is detached from the lamp socket and replaced with new one, and the insulation seal member thereof is missing, displaced, jammed, cracked or the like when a lamp plug with a replacement lamp is re-plugged in the lamp socket.
