This invention provides a packaging material for a photographic photosensitive material having a conductive light-shielding thermoplastic resin film layer which comprises a resin composition comprising 3 to 49 wt. % of a thermoplastic elastomer having a crystallinity of 40% or less measured by the X-ray diffraction method, 0.01 to 10 wt. % of lubricant, and 1 to 70 wt. % of carbon black which is acetylene carbon black or furnace carbon black, which is excellent in the dispersion of carbon black to improve light-shielding ability and rare generation of lumps and microgrits, heat sealing properties, small degradation of physical strength, film moldability, etc.

Packaging material for photographic photosensitive material

The packaging material for a photographic photosensitive material of the invention is formed of a thermoplastic resin composition containing 50 wt. % or more of a thermoplastic resin manufactured using a catalyst capable of producing 10,000 g or more of the thermoplastic resin per 1 g of solid catalyst component. The catalyst includes a single site catalyst, such as zirconium based metallocene, hafnium based metallocene, titanium based metallocene and vanadium based metallocene and aluminoxane. By using the thermoplastic resin composition, adverse effects on photographic properties can be removed, and rusting of manufacturing apparatus can be decreased.

It is provided a package easy-to-open for photosensitive material such as an easy-to-open packaged photosensitive material having at least a biaxially stretched plastic film layer and, as an innermost layer, a heat-sealing layer containing not less than 5 wt % of an ethylene copolymer resin and/or a thermoplastic elastomer. At least one layer of the layered film has light shielding performance, and at least one layer other than the biaxially stretched plastic film layer has a ratio of the tear strength in the direction normal to the flow direction to the tear strength in the flow direction of not less than 3. The package has physical strength such as impact resistance, complete hermetic sealing performance, complete light shielding performance, and amenability of discarding and recycling without affecting the quality of the photosensitive material.

Package easy-to-open for photosensitive material

A die-cut sheet having score lines and cutouts which in the form of a sheet of multilayered paperboard including at least two paper layers on the outer and inner sides that are made of different materials, that use a starch-based adhesive, preferably a cornstarch-based adhesive and that each have a basis weight of at least 150 g/m,is shaped into a box. The die-cut sheet is preferably in the form of a sheet of double-faced or double-wall corrugated board including 30 to 55 flutes/30 cm at a height of 2.3 to 5 mm and a takeup ratio of 1.30 to 1.65, with the liner and the medium having basis weights of 150 to 350 g/m,and 120 to 200 g/m,, respectively. The box can be used as a paper container for photo-sensitive materials. Despite its use of waste paper, the box controls the possible adverse effects on the photographic properties of the contents, thereby allowing for effective control of the occurrence of damage and the generation of burrs of paper fragments and paper dust during the manufacturing, storage and shipment stages. In addition, using the starch-based adhesive of high bond strength, the box can be stored satisfactorily for a prolonged period.

Paper container for photo-sensitive materials and package of photo-sensitive materials

A molded article for photographic photosensitive material formed of a molding resin composition consisting essentially of 100 parts by weight of crystalline resin composition comprising crystalline resin and at least lubricant or antistatic agent, 0.001 to 2 parts by weight of antioxidant and 5 to 90 parts by weight of acrylic acid copolymer resin, and a molded article for photographic photosensitive materials formed of a light-shielding thermoplastic resin composition comprising a light-shielding material of which the surface has been treated with a surface-treating material and antioxidant. The molded article can inhibit bleeding out and thermal decomposition of antistatic agent, lubridant and organic nucleating agent, and can prevent various troubles induced therefrom.

Molded articles for photographic photo-sensitive materials

A color masterbatch resin composition for a packaging material for a photographic photosensitive material which does not adversely affect photographic properties of the photographic photosensitive material, comprising a light-shielding material in a concentration thrice as much as or more that of the packaging material for a photographic photosensitive material, and a thermoplastic resin of which 50 wt. % or more is the same type as a thermoplastic resin occupying 50 wt. % or more of the total thermoplastic resin composing the packaging material for a photographic photosensitive material, production thereof, a packaging material for a photographic photosensitive material formed of a color masterbatch resin composition, and production thereof. In the color masterbatch resin composition and the packaging material for a photographic photosensitive material of the invention, hight-shielding material is dispersed uniformly by employing a special resin composition, and thereby, adverse affects upon photographic photosensitive materials are prevented, and favorable appearance can be ensured. Moreover, fog with time, abnormal sensitivity, abrasion, pressure marks, etc. can be prevented.

Injection molding is performed by using a thermoplastic resin composition including a thermoplastic resin of 30 wt. % or more, a lubricant and an antioxidant. The thermoplastic resin is polymerized with a single-sight catalyst and has molecular-weight distribution of 1.1-5.0. The thermoplastic resin polymerized by using the single-sight catalyst is used for an injection molded article so that the injection molded article is superior in physical strength and blocking proofness. By adding the lubricant and the antioxidant to the thermoplastic resin composition, lubricity and antioxidant thereof may be improved.

A packaged roll-shaped silver halide photosensitive material comprising a winding core, a roll-shaped silver halide photosensitive material wound on the winding core and a packaging material covering the periphery and the both two lateral sides of the roll-shaped silver halide photosensitive material, wherein at least one surface of the three surfaces in the periphery and the both two lateral sides of the roll-shaped silver halide photosensitive material is packaged with a packaging material comprising a combination of a paper material with a pored film, and the water vapor permeability of such packaging material is not less than 5.1 g/m.sup.2 .multidot.24 hours. It is possible to prevent deterioration of a roll-shaped silver halide photosensitive material through abnormal sensitization of photographic performance.

A completely light-shielding packaging material for a photosensitive material obtained on laminating two sorts of separately molded light shielding thermoplastic resin films of different properties on the photosensitive material side and on its outer side via an adhesive layer. The outer thermoplastic resin film is a polypropylene-based resin film at least containing a light-shielding material and a homopolypropylene resin or an .alpha.-olefin containing polypropylene-based resin and having a Young's modulus in the longitudinal direction of 150 to 600 kg/mm.sup.2 and a thickness of 15 to 80 .mu.m. The inner thermoplastic resin film is a polyolefin-based resin film at least containing a light-shielding material, an ethylene copolymer resin and a polyolefin resin, and having a Young's modulus in the longitudinal direction of not higher than 120 kg/mm.sup.2 and a thickness of 20 to 150 .mu.m. This material has physical strength, heat-sealing performance, and amenability to bag making. Light-shielding bag for photosensitive material is produced.

As to the styrene-based resin composition, styrene-based resin, in which melt flow index is 3.0-40.0 g/10 minutes, a Rockwell hardness is M38 or more, an Izod impact strength is 2.0 Kg.multidot.cm/cm or more, a bending elastic modulus is 20,000 Kg/cm.sup.2 or more, and a Vicat softening point is 78.degree. Styrene-based resin composition having melt flow index of 1-50 g/10 minutes, and including ethylbenzene of 0.001-1 wt. %, rubber-like material of 0.1-15 wt. %, and light shielding material of 0.1-10 wt. %, may be used.

A colored packaging material for the photosensitive material having improved light-shielding properties and physical properties, providing a packaged photosensitive material. Colored pigment is kneaded with dispersing pigment for dissociating and dispersing the colored pigment for improving uniform dispersion of the colored pigment for providing a colored packaging material for the photosensitive material having improved light-shielding and physical properties. The colored pigment is further improved in uniform dispersion by coating the colored pigment and the dispersing pigment with a surface coating agent such as fatty acid metal salt. For producing the packaging material, a master batch method, may be used. The packaging material may be used to make a packaged photosensitive material, e.g., injection or inflation molded articles.

An injection molded article for photographic photosensitive materials is disclosed, which is formed of a noncrystalline resin composition containing 50 wt % or more of a noncrystalline resin having a melt flow rate of from 1 to 60 g/10 min, a flexural modulus of elasticity of 20,000 kg/cm.sup.2 or more and a thermal deformation temperature of 70.degree. C. or higher, from 0.1 to 45 wt % of one or more of a rubbery material, a thermoplastic elastomer and an ethylene copolymer resin, from 0.01 to 49.9 wt % of one or more of a light-shielding material and a fibrous filler and from 0.001 to 20 wt % of one or more of an antioxidant, an age resistor, an ultraviolet absorbent, a fatty acid metal salt, a radical scavenger, a hydrate double salt compound and an oxidation inhibitory synergistic effect-providing agent. Moreover, fog with time, abnormal sensitivity, abrasion, pressure marks, etc. can be prevented.
