A refrigerant compressor includes a compression mechanism portion, a drive portion, a crankshaft, a main bearing and an auxiliary bearing that support the crankshaft, and a sealed container that accommodates therein the compression mechanism portion, the drive portion, the crankshaft, the main bearing, and the auxiliary bearing. The auxiliary bearing is configured of an antifriction bearing and provided in an auxiliary bearing housing attached to the sealed container. The auxiliary bearing housing includes an opening for inserting the auxiliary bearing on the drive portion side, and includes a housing cover covering the opening. An insulating sleeve configured of an insulating material is provided between the crankshaft and the auxiliary bearing. The insulating sleeve includes a cylinder portion located between the crankshaft and the auxiliary bearing, and a flange portion located between the auxiliary bearing and the housing cover and extended in an outer diameter direction.

A scroll compressor includes a crankshaft, a suction chamber, a back pressure chamber, a communication path, a back pressure control means, and a base plate. The base plate intermittently connects the communication path by opening and closing an opening on a back pressure chamber side of the communication path. The crankshaft drives an orbiting scroll, and mutually engages a stationary scroll having a whirlpool shape and the orbiting scroll.

In a revolution type compressor using a balance weight for balancing a rotating mass, the effect of oil churn reduction is enhanced, and compressor input is reduced. A balance weight fixed to a drive shaft between a rotor of an electric motorand a compression mechanism includes a weight portion in a substantially semicircular column shape for balancing a rotating mass, a cover portion which is substantially semi-cylindrical and has an opening in the vicinity of a top and bottom at an opposite side in a radial direction from the weight portion, and a hollow space surrounded by the weight portion and the cover portion. Further, a space for discharging oil is provided between the balance weight and the rotor. By the structure, reduction in oil churn, and reduction in input of the compressor are realized, and the compressor with less power consumption is obtained.

Revolution type compressor

The inside of a sealed container () of a horizontal scroll compressor is partitioned by a partition plate () into a space in which a compressor mechanism section and an electric motor are contained and into a discharge space () in which a discharge pipe () and an oil supply pump () are contained. An upper communication path () and a path guide member () are provided in the upper part of the partition plate, and a refrigerant gas passes through the upper communication path (). The path guide member is located below the discharge pipe (), is extended to a position near a side surface of the sealed container, and has a path area greater than the path area of the discharge pipe. The construction causes the refrigerant gas to collide with the side surface of the sealed container, promoting separation of oil, and even if the oil is re-dispersed by a gas flow, the construction reduces flow directly leading to the discharge pipe.

Horizontal scroll compressor

A scroll compressor is provided in which the amount of lubricant oil supply is appropriately controlled over a low to high rotational frequency range of the scroll compressor. The scroll compressor has an oil supply unit and an oil supply passage. The oil supply unit includes a small hole with a diameter not exceeding a seal ring width of the sealing part and a groove which are formed on the end plate of the boss portion on the back side of the orbiting scroll. As the orbiting scroll orbitally moves, oil in the high pressure hydraulic chamber pools in the small hole to be discharged, across the seal ring, into the back pressure chamber. The oil supply passage communicates between the high pressure hydraulic chamber and the back pressure chamber.

A scroll compressor is constructed by combining a stationary scroll and an orbiting scroll formed by erecting a scroll-shape wrap upright on a base plate meshing with each other. A scroll member constructing the stationary scroll or the orbiting scroll is constructed of an inner layer memberforming a core metal and an outer layer memberarranged so as to surround the inner layer member and forming an outer layer part, the inner layer member is constructed of a material with higher modulus of elasticity than that of the outer layer member, and separation prevention parts (uneven parts, depressions, or holes) preventing the inner layer member and the outer layer member from separating with each other due to difference in coefficient of thermal expansion thereof are arranged in the inner layer member.

A scroll compressor includes a fixed scroll, an orbiting scroll, a crankshaft rotationally supported on a frame to drive the orbiting scroll, a seal member between an orbiting scroll back surface and the frame, a back pressure chamber of discharge pressure at an inner peripheral side of the seal member, another back pressure chamber of low pressure at an outer peripheral side so that the orbiting scroll is pressed against the fixed scroll with the pressures of these back pressure chambers, and a guide ring supporting an end surface of the seal member at a side opposite to the orbiting scroll and including a guide portion guiding an inner peripheral surface of the seal member so that the seal member is brought into close contact with the orbiting scroll back surface by a wave spring through the guide ring.

In order to make a displacement type compressor be able to reliably start without increasing an outside diameter dimension of the compressor while using a self-start synchronous motor having high energy efficiency, the displacement type compressor according to the invention includes the self-start synchronous motor which starts as an induction-motor and performs synchronous operation by performing synchronization pull-in almost at a synchronous rotational frequency, a compression part having a compression chamber which compresses a working fluid, and a hermetic container which houses the self-start synchronous motor and the compression part. The displacement type compressor is provided with a start load reducing means which reduces a load of the compression part at startup and is placed at the compression part in the hermetic container.

Scroll compressor having guide ring supporting and urging seal member

A scroll back pressure chamber in a scroll compressor is composed of a spacefilled with suction pressure (or intermediate pressure) and a space filled with discharge pressure, and the summation of the suction pressure (or the intermediate pressure) and the discharge pressure presses one of scrolls against the other of the scrolls. An injection hole, through which refrigerant in gas state or refrigerant in liquid state is injected into a compression chamber of the scroll compressor, is provided on a fixed scroll, and the gas refrigerant injection or the liquid refrigerant injection is selected and carried out according to an operating pressure ratio.

A scroll fluid machine comprises compression chambers defined with an orbiting scroll orbiting relative to a fixed scroll, and a back pressure chamber provided on the face opposite from a wrap of the orbiting scroll. A back pressure port is provided, which is formed in an end-plate of the orbiting scroll and connects from a compression chamber side opening opened to a compression chamber side and to a back pressure chamber side opening opened to a back pressure chamber side. The compression chamber side opening is opened and closed by an end-plate of the fixed scroll according as the orbiting motion of the orbiting scroll to perform connection and blockage of the back pressure port. The flow resistance of fluid flowing in and out between the back pressure chamber and the compression chamber is reduced and the compression efficiency and reliability are improved.

A horizontal type scroll compressor is provided with a support plate separating an inside of the sealed container into a first space in which the compressor mechanism portion and the electric motor portion are stored, and a second space in which the discharge pipe is provided, and a communication path communicating a bottom portion of the first space and a space above the drive shaft within the second space in a lower side of the support plate, and regulates an oil level by the communication path in the case that the oil level difference becomes large at a time of a high-speed operation. In order to stabilize the oil supply to the bearing or the like, the oil is supplied by an oil pump provided in a shaft end portion of the drive shaft close to an oil reserving chamber.

In order to make a displacement type compressor be able to reliably start without increasing an outside diameter dimension of the compressor while using a self-start synchronous motor having high energy efficiency, the displacement type compressor according to the invention includes the self-start synchronous motor which starts as an induction-motor and performs synchronous operation by performing synchronization pull-in almost at a synchronous rotational frequency, a compression part having a compression chamber which compresses a working fluid, and a hermetic container which houses the self-start synchronous motor and the compression part. The displacement type compressor is provided with a start load reducing means which reduces a load of the compression part at startup and is-placed at the compression part in the hermetic container.

An apparatus for driving a compressor comprises a compressor having a compression mechanism part for sucking a fluid to compress the same, and an electric motor for driving the compression mechanism part, and an inverter device for driving the electric motor at variable speeds. The electric motor comprises a self-starting type electric motor having a rotor, which comprises a cage conductor and a polarized permanent magnet, and the inverter device comprises a plurality of semiconductor switches for controlling drive frequencies of the electric motor.

Apparatus for driving a compressor and a refrigerating air conditioner

A scroll compressor has a movable auxiliary member provided by mounting it between a frame member and a circling scroll member. The movable auxiliary member has a stopper portion for causing a contact plane to contact a pane of a fixed scroll member and a ring portion having an opposed plane annularly formed to face the pane of the circling scroll member, is further supported elastically by an elastic support in a state of being energized in a direction of the circling scroll member, has the contact plane of the stopper portion caused to contact the pane in this elastic support state to keep a limit position with the opposed plane facing the pane of the circling scroll member, and goes back elastically to the frame member side when the circling scroll member goes back to the frame member side and the pane is pressed to contact the opposed plane.
