The present invention relates to a plant disease control agent containing a compound represented by the following formula (1) or salt thereof as an active ingredient (in the formula, Rand Rrepresents a hydrogen atom or methyl group but excepting cases where Rand Rare the same), a plant disease controlling method applying the plant disease control agent on plants suffering from diseases, and a novel compound represented by formula (1) or salt thereof. 

Plant disease control agent

An agricultural and horticultural fungicide composition including prumycin and a surfactin family member as active components and a plant disease controlling method. As the surfactin, family member, surfactin and [Ile]surfactin are preferred. The composition preferably further contains calcium chloride comprises for improving storage stability.

The present invention relates to a microbial pesticide composition, which is obtained by a method including the steps of: adjusting a pH of a culture solution of thesp. bacterium to from 3.0 to 5.0 (pH adjustment step); mixing the culture solution with the calcium chloride and/or the magnesium sulfate (mixing step); and lyophilizing or spray-drying the culture solution (drying step). In the microbial pesticide composition, even if it is stored for a long period of time at room temperature, the active ingredient remains stable and a sufficient preventive effect against plant disease can be maintained.
