An on-board device includes a processor. The processor is configured to operate as an acquisition unit configured to acquire data from a sensor mounted on a vehicle, a human-machine-interface (HMI) unit configured to perform a process for exerting a human-machine-interface (HMI) function, and a data management unit configured to make determination on a category of the data delivered from the acquisition unit and deliver, to the HMI unit, data in a first category that does not contain data that is not desired to be delivered to the HMI unit. The HMI unit is configured to perform the process for exerting the HMI function based on the data delivered from the data management unit.

It is possible to simultaneously obtain a task delay guarantee and an effective task execution. Each of tasks (A, A, A) is divided into a guaranteed portion and a controllable portion. The controllable portion is handled as a portion which can be deleted. A task management system for executing a task selected from tasks structuring a task combination, includes a judging unit for judging whether there is a task combination switchover request or not, a switchover unit for switching over the task combination after completing an execution of a specified task in the tasks structuring the task combination before the switchover when judging that there is the switchover request, and an execution unit for executing the task selected from the tasks structuring the task combination switched over by the switchover unit.

Task management system

A task execution system including at least two processors has a task management table registered with an associated relationship between at least a task, a main execution processor for executing the task and an in-charge-of-stoppage processor for executing the task when the main execution processor stops, means for selecting an executable task from among tasks registered in the task management table, means for checking, if a processor other than the processor trying to execute the selected task is registered as the main execution processor for the selected task, a stoppage state of the processor registered as the main execution processor, and means for executing the selected task if the processor registered as the main execution processor remains stopped.
