Examples described herein include distributed computing systems having a system traffic analyzer. The system traffic analyzer may receive sampled packets sent to a network from a number virtual machines hosted by computing nodes in the distributed computing system. The packets may be sampled, for example, by network flow monitors in hypervisors of the computing nodes. The system traffic analyzer may request co-location of virtual machines having greater than a threshold amount of traffic between them. The request for co-location may result in the requested virtual machines being hosted on a same computing node, which may in some examples conserve network bandwidth.

A system with at least one device including a hardware processor, performs the steps of receiving, by the system, a packet from a second system to be transmitted to a third system, forwarding, by the system to the third system, the packet received from the second system; modifying a portion of the packet to obtain a modified packet that falsely identifies a fourth system as a source of the modified packet, and transmitting, by the system to the third system, the modified packet identifying the fourth system as the source of the modified packet.

Testing by simulation using variations of real-time traffic

The present disclosure discloses a distributed radio management system that is capable of dynamically tuning a radio antenna to a particular radio frequency channel and/or radio frequency band. The disclosed network device includes a transceiver, an antenna, and a component on a wireless signal path between the transceiver and the antenna. The component includes functionality to dynamically switch between processing signals corresponding to a first radio frequency band and processing signals corresponding to a second radio frequency band. Moreover, the component also may include functionality to dynamically switch between processing signals and refraining from processing wireless signals that are received by the component.

Distributed radio management

The present disclosure discloses a method and network device for efficient frame aggregation. Specifically, a network device queues a first set of packets until one of the first set of aggregation limits is detected. The network device then transmits the first set of packets, and receives feedback information. Then, the network device modifies the first set of aggregation limits to obtain a second set of aggregation limits based on the feedback information. The network device queues a second set of packets until one of the second set of aggregation limits is detected, and then transmits the second set of packets. Also, the network device determines whether a received packet has a particular characteristic. If so, the network device transmits the first set of packets before at least one of the first set of aggregation limits is detected.
