Self-cleaning bathtub

Thermoplastic multiple channel tubing, which includes at least a pair of channels separated by a partition, is bent into a desired shape or configuration by softening the tubing and then bending it into the desired shape or configuration. The tubing is pegged and clamped so as to maintain the shape of the clamped portion of the tubing, as well as the shape of the partition and its proper orientation with respect to the rest of the tubing, during the bending operation.

Method and apparatus for bending multiple channel tubing

A bathtub self-cleaning system includes a series of pop-out spray nozzles designed to be arranged about the confining walls of a bathtub and the like. The spray nozzles are connected by a manifold to a combined concentrate and dilutent mixing control valve. The control valve serves to initially mix the dilutent such as water with the concentrate such as a detergent to provide a diluted cleaning solution. Subsequently, the control valve discharges the cleaning solution via the manifold through the spray nozzles. The spray nozzles when popped-out are directed at the surfaces of the confining walls for their cleaning by the cleaning solution. Upon consumption of the concentrate within the mixing control valve, only dilutent is discharged therefrom to rinse the confining walls of residual cleaning solution or dirt. In this manner, a bathtub may be automatically cleaned without the necessity of any manual scrubbing thereof.

Bathtub self-cleaning system

A connector assembly is adapted to connect an outlet of a whirlpool system to air and water supply channels. Because the connector assembly is removably mounted to the air and water supply channels between the ends thereof, the air and water supply channels can be made from a continuous piece of tubing.

Connector assembly for whirlpool system

A whirlpool system has a pair of channels which connect sources of water and air to a plurality of outlets in a water receptacle. Each of the channels is formed in a continuous piece of tubing which is connected to the outlets by a plurality of connector assemblies removably mounted to the tubing between the ends thereof. If the tubing is made from a thermoplastic material, the tubing may be inserted into a hot liquid bath and, after the thermoplastic material becomes sufficiently soft, bent into a desired shape or configuration.

Whirlpool system

A combination liner assembly for bathtub, walls and ceiling is provided for renovating a worn or outmoded bathtub installed in a wall recess. The assembly includes a plastic bathtub-shaped liner having a tub portion sized to be seated in the tub cavity of the bathtub with the bottom surface of the tub portion resting upon the bottom surface of the original tub cavity and said bottom surface supporting the weight of the liner as well as the water and the bather therein. The bathtub liner is connected to the waste and overflow drains of the original bathtub and has an outwardly projecting peripheral flange around the top edge thereof which overlies the marginal ledges of the bathtub. Sealing membranes provide water-tight seals between the peripheral flange of the bathtub liner and the walls of the wall recess. The assembly also includes a matching wall liner which covers the walls of the recess above the bathtub liner. The wall liner may be topped by a dome, which rests on an outwardly-extending flange.
