A method of building a structure in the presence of water includes providing two or more three-sided elongated triangular bodies that has a first end, a second end, and an internal flow passage that extends between the first end and the second end. Each of the triangular bodies has an apex with a base opposed to the apex. Each of the triangular bodies is positioned in side by side relation, with the flow passage of one or more of the triangular bodies serving as a flow path for water. A road, a bridge or a dock is positioned transversely across the triangular bodies.

A system and method for rapidly responding to and regaining control of uncontrolled flow from offshore hydrocarbon wells, comprising a subsea containment assembly, optionally including a capture caisson assembly installed around the assembly, riser systems for production of hydrocarbons to capture vessels on the surface of the sea, and modularized subsystems facilitating communication between and fluid flow from the subsea containment assembly through the riser to the capture vessel.

Marine well containment system and method

A carrying case for a fishing rod and reel comprises an elongate hollow tube that is closed at its first end and is adapted to receive a fishing rod therein from its open, second end. A reel receiving chamber is attached to the open, second end of the tube. The chamber has opposite sides, a closed top and a forward wall. An opening is provided in the forward wall of the chamber, with the opening being in alignment with the open end of the tube. The rearward end of the chamber is open such that a rod and an attached reel can be received through the open rearward end to position the rod in the tube and the reel in the chamber. A closure member fits against and closes the open rearward end of the chamber, with the closure member being pivotally connected to the sides of the chamber so that the closure member can be pivoted downwardly beneath the chamber to expose the open rearward end of the chamber.
