A wireless charging relay, a system, and a method are provided. The wireless charging relay includes processing circuitry. The circuitry is configured to receive power wirelessly. The received power is energy harvested from at least two different input wireless power sources. The circuitry is further configured to convert the received power to an output wireless power. The type of the output wireless power is different from the received power. The wireless charging relay transmits the output wireless power.

The centralized multi RAT controller correlates these performance metrics and determines predicted handovers for a user device. In some aspects, the disclosure is directed to methods and systems for in-band full-duplex operation. A first device transmits a frame to a second device wirelessly within a first frequency band, in one or more embodiments. In one or more embodiments, the first device detects, while the transmission of the frame is ongoing, feedback from the second device within the first frequency band. In one or more embodiments, the feedback is in response to the ongoing transmission of the frame. In one or more embodiments, the first device determines, responsive to the feedback, whether to stop the ongoing transmission of the frame or to update a transmission parameter for the ongoing transmission within the first frequency band.

The present disclosure is directed to a system and method for selecting a sub-group of user terminals (UTs) among a group of UTs served by a sector of a cellular network to schedule independent data streams for transmission to over the same time-frequency interval. In one embodiment, the sub-group of UTs is selected to limit inter-user interference among the sub-group of UTs. In another embodiment, the sub-group of UTs is selected to limit inter-user interference experienced by a UT that is at or near the boundary of the sector that serves the sub-group of UTs.

Systems and methods for enabling a wireless backhaul network between access points (APs) in a wireless network are provided. In an embodiment, the wireless backhaul network is enabled using a Massive Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) radio access technology (RAT). In another embodiment, the wireless backhaul network is established using the same RAT as used by the APs to serve user devices, and can utilize the same time and frequency resources used for user communication.

Systems and methods for providing dynamic substream definition and handover are provided. In embodiments, a user device includes a multiple radio access technology (RAT) communications modules and a communication controller. Each RAT communication module is further configured to communicate using a different RAT. The user device identifies available networks for communication. Then, the controller determines whether a need to split a communications stream exists (e.g., the user device is engaged in a bandwidth intensive application). If the communications stream is to be split, the controller defines the substreams (either equally or unequally) and assigns a first substream to a communication pathway in a first available network and assigns a second substream to a communication pathway in a second available network. The destination then recombines the substreams. In embodiments, the controller inserts synchronization in the substreams.

In a further example, the location of the M-MIMO transmission zone is transmitted in the downlink control information. The location of the M-MIMO transmission zone may be defined dynamically based on a variety of criteria. In addition or alternatively, a set of pre-defined transmission zones may be utilized.
