A method and device for image processing, and storage medium are provided. In the method, an initial image I is acquired; a set of m predetermined tone-mapping functions is provided; a pixel I(i) of the initial image is selected; a pixel weight w(i) for the selected pixel I(i) is determined based on pixel information of at least the selected pixel; for each tone-mapping function, a tone-mapping function weight is determined based on the pixel weight; each tone-mapping function is applied to the selected pixel I(i) and weighting the result with the respective tone-mapping function weight; the sum of the weighted result as final pixel I'(i) is determined.

Method and device for image processing, and storage medium

A methods and apparatuses for image processing are provided. The method may include acquiring initial image data from an image sensor. The method may further include deconstructing the initial image data in a plurality of image pyramid layers. The method may further include collapsing a first image pyramid layer with a second image pyramid layer in order to create an intermediate layer. The method may further include collapsing the intermediate layer with the subsequent image pyramid layer to create a new intermediate layer and generating the final image based on the new intermediate layer and a last image pyramid layer. A tone-mapping operator is applied to at least one of the intermediate layers.

In an example embodiment a method, apparatus and computer program product are provided. The method includes grouping pixels of an image into a plurality of pixel groups. The method includes determining representative descriptors for the plurality of pixel groups and further grouping the plurality of pixel groups into a set of pixel groups based at least on similarity between the representative descriptors for the plurality of pixel groups. The method also includes receiving a selection of at least one region of the image. The method includes segmenting at least one object of the image based at least on an overlap between the at least one region and the set of pixel groups, wherein the at least one object is associated with one or more pixel groups of the set of pixel groups that overlap with the at least one region.
