A torque wrench having post-torque rotation setting and measurement function, optionally including auto transition from torque to angle rotation, which may operation with and without batteries, including low profile design, improved visual, audio and haptic feedback, a recesses pawl seat for improved accuracy and longevity and improved handle rotation for torque setting and spring unwinding by virtue of improved torque setting nut design.

Hybrid electromechanical torque wrench

A welding machine includes a main transformer having first primary winding, a second primary winding, and a secondary winding; a power board configured to receiving mains power and to convert the mains power to converted power to be input to the main transformer; a switch having an input connected to an output of the power board, a first output connected to the first primary winding of the main transformer, and a second output connected to the second primary winding of the main transformer; and a control board configured to control the switch to be arranged in one of (i) a first configuration in which the converted power is supplied, in series, to a first primary winding of a main transformer switching and a second primary winding of the main transformer, and (ii) a second configuration in which the converted power is supplied, in parallel, to the first primary winding of the main transformer and to the second primary winding of the main transformer.

Multi-process welding and cutting machine

A multi-process welding machine provides an intuitive user interface to enable a user to select among different welding processes, and to select parameters for a given selected welding process. The multi-process welding machine also provides an arrangement by which a switching module, or DC to AC converter, of an AC TIG unit can be controlled to alternatively supply AC or DC welding voltages or current. Further, a configuration of switches can be leveraged to automatically (or manually) control the polarity of welding cables for different processes and to engage or disengage a wire feeder when, e.g., a MIG welding process is selected, or not selected, respectively. Finally, in an embodiment, the ferrite or magnetic materials used for a main output inductor and an high frequency starting inductor of the welding machine can be combined.

Portable AC-DC multi-process welding and cutting machine

A power supply to provide welding power. The power supply may include a first printed circuit board (PCB) disposed on a primary side of the power supply; a first set of components mounted on the first PCB; a second PCB disposed on a secondary side of the power supply; a second set of components mounted on the second PCB; a transformer stage coupled to the first PCB and to the second PCB, wherein the first PCB and the second PCB are independently detachable from the power supply.

Printed circuit board arrangement for welding and cutting apparatus

A locating device disposable on a surface has a housing, a capacitance sensor, a radar sensor, and an inductance sensor. The locating device also has a motion sensor disposed for detecting at least one motion parameter. A controller receives data from the capacitance sensor, the radar sensor, the inductance sensor and the motion sensor, and determines from the data a presence of objects disposed within or behind the surface. A display is used for displaying a graphical representation of the objects disposed within or behind the surface.

Handheld locating device

An electronic torque wrench including a wrench body, a wrench head configured to engage a workpiece, a first sensor producing a first output signal, that is proportional to an amount of torque being applied to the workpiece, a grip handle, a second sensor producing a second output signal that is proportional to an amount of rotation being applied to the workpiece, a user interface including an input device for inputting a preset torque value, and a processor for converting the first output signal into a current torque value, comparing the current torque value to the preset torque value, and converting the second output signal into a first angle value through which the workpiece has been rotated after the current torque value exceeds the preset torque value.

Ratcheting device for an electronic torque wrench

A person's step length and rate may be measured, for example, through sensors that collect spatial and temporal gait parameter data. The measurements are then used to determine the rate of a rhythmic auditory cue to improve the person's gait. For example, a system links sensors to detect step rate and length to an audio cue provided to headphones, while providing the appropriate algorithms to accomplish real time adjustments to the audio cues as needed to better help change the person's step length vs. step rate ratio in a desired direction depending on therapeutic or performance goals.

Step trainer for enhanced performance using rhythmic cues

A torque wrench including a handle attached to a drive member and a transducer that senses the torque transferred from the handle to the drive member and outputs a first signal corresponding to the transferred torque. An analog mechanical input device disposed on the handle that simultaneously defines a set point and indicates the set point. A comparator receives the first signal from the transducer, receives the set point, compares the first signal from the transducer to the set point, and outputs a second signal. The mechanical input device does not display a real time measurement of the torque transferred to the work piece prior to reaching the set point.

Electronic torque wrench with a manual input device

An electronic torque wrench for engaging a workpiece, the electronic torque wrench including a wrench body and a wrench head disposed on the wrench body, the wrench head being configured to engage the workpiece. A grip handle is disposed on the wrench body opposite the wrench head and a user interface is carried by the wrench body. The user interface includes a digital display with a first readout and a second readout, and an input device for inputting a preset torque value. The first readout displays a peak torque value continuously during operations and the second readout displays an applied torque value continuously during operations.

A mechanical torque wrench including a wrench body defining an elongated interior compartment and a wrench head including a bar extending therefrom being pivotally secured to a first end of the wrench body. A hand grip located on a second end of the wrench body, the hand grip being non-rotationally fixed to the second end of wrench body, and a set spring is disposed within the wrench body. A pawl is disposed between the bar and the set spring. Rotation of a dial screw in a first direction compresses the set spring and rotation in a second direction allows expansion of the set spring. A set ring is operatively connected to the dial screw and rotatable relative to the wrench body. A resistive element produces an output signal that depends on a position of the dial screw relative to the resistive element. A processor converts the output signal into an equivalent torque value in a selected system of units for display on a user interface. Application of a torque greater than the equivalent torque value to a workpiece causes the wrench head to pivot relative to the wrench body about the pivot joint and the selected system of units is one of a metric system of units and a standard system of units.

Mechanical torque wrench with an electronic sensor and display device

A two-way communication system particularly valuable for noisy environments where a user has a tooth bone conduction microphone in his mouth normally controlled by a tongue switch that transmits an electrical signal representing speech to a retransmit module usually worn on the user's body or mounted on an earphone or headset where the speech electrical signal is retransmitted to a second user usually by RF. The retransmit module can also receive signals from the second user and transmit them to the earphone or headset thus providing two-way communication.

Method and apparatus for tooth bone conduction microphone

An electronic torque wrench for driving a workpiece includes a wrench body having a handle end and a wrench head receiving end. A wrench head a workpiece receiving end and a mounting end, and the mounting end is removably received by wrench head receiving end. A user interface having a processor and a display is mounted on the wrench body. A wrench head sensing device is carried by the wrench head receiving end and includes an electrical connection between the wrench head sensing device and the processor. The wrench head sensing device sends an electrical signal to the processor indicating the presence of the wrench head on the wrench head receiving end.
