A guide robot can include a travel part to move the guide robot, a touch screen and a camera, a sensor to detect an approach of a user, and a voice reception part to receive a voice. The guide robot further includes a controller to display at least one digital signage while the guide robot is traveling, in response to detecting the approach of the user, stop the traveling of the guide robot and transition the camera from a deactivated state to an activated state, and detect a face and a face angle of the user. Also, in response to determining that the user intends to use the guide robot, the controller can trigger a voice conversation mode by activating the voice reception part, stopping the display of the at least one digital signage and outputting usage guide information for the voice conversation mode.

Guide robot and operation method thereof

A method for controlling an artificial intelligent (AI) device providing a travel service, and which includes learning, via a processer of the AI device, a plurality of daily patterns related with a user's wake-up time, a commuting time, and a travel route using a deep neural networks (DNN) model; determining, via the processor, whether the daily patterns satisfy predetermined conditions each time a corresponding daily pattern among the plurality of daily patterns is generated; determining, via the processor, that the user is currently traveling when at least one daily pattern among the plurality of daily patterns that does not satisfy the predetermined conditions is detected; setting, via the processor, a time when the at least one daily pattern that does not satisfy the predetermined conditions is detected for a first time as a starting point of travel; setting, via the processor, a time from the starting point of the travel to an end point of the travel as a travel period of the user when an end of the user's travel is detected; and outputting travel information related with the travel period.

Artificial device and method for controlling the same

Disclosed herein are an artificial intelligence-based apparatus and method for providing wake-up and bed time information. The artificial intelligence-based apparatus for providing wake-up and bed time information includes a communication unit configured to receive usage information for an electronic device used by a user from the electronic device; a memory configured to store the usage information; and a processor configured to load the usage information from the memory, analyze usage time of the electronic device, extract a life pattern of the user, and predict an average wake-up or bed time of the user based on the life pattern. According to the embodiment of the present invention, it is possible to provide services for tasks which the user needs to do at the wake-up or bed time and provide convenience to the user.
