A liquid discharge apparatus includes an apparatus body, a liquid discharge unit, a first ventilation channel a cover, and a second ventilation channel. The liquid discharge unit discharges a liquid. The first ventilation channel in the apparatus body has a first end opened to an interior of the apparatus body in a first direction. The cover is movable between an open position and a closed position to operably close the apparatus body. The second ventilation channel connected to the cover has a second end opened to the interior of the apparatus body in a second direction different from the first direction. The cover at the closed position causes the first end of the first ventilation channel to be connected to the second end of the second ventilation channel.

Liquid discharge apparatus

A liquid discharge apparatus includes a holder, a pre-treatment head, a smoother, and a print head. The holder reciprocally moves while holding a recording medium. The pre-treatment head discharges a pre-treatment liquid onto a surface of the recording medium held by the holder. The smoother smooths the pre-treatment liquid, which is discharged onto the surface of the recording medium, along the surface of the recording medium by a movement of the holder. The print head discharges a printing liquid onto the surface of the recording medium with the pre-treatment liquid smoothed.

A printer includes a liquid discharge head configured to discharge a liquid to a print target, a holder configured to hold the print target, and a height detector configured to detect the print target on the holder at a first height and at a second height lower than the first height.

A maintenance jig includes a protector and an opening. The protector is configured to be attached to a head that has a nozzle surface including a nozzle row to discharge liquid or a head holder that holds the head. The protector is configured to protect the nozzle row. The opening is adjacent to the protector in a lateral direction of the nozzle row intersecting a longitudinal direction of the nozzle row. A distance between an end of the protector in the longitudinal direction of the nozzle row and the nozzle surface is larger than a distance between a portion of the protector other than the end of the protector in the longitudinal direction and the nozzle surface when the maintenance jig is attached to the head or the head holder.

A liquid discharge apparatus includes a housing, a holder configured to hold a medium, a heater configured to heat the medium held by the holder, and a liquid discharge head configured to discharge a liquid onto the medium held by the holder. The holder has a flat holding surface on which the medium is placed flat, the holder is movable in the housing in a direction parallel to the flat holding surface and in a vertical direction, and the heater is disposed inside the housing within a movable region of the holder in which the holder is movable in the direction parallel to the flat holding surface in a view from the vertical direction.

A head clean includes a wiping device configured to wipe a nozzle surface of a head mounted on a carriage, and a holder configured to movably hold the wiping device. The holder includes a connector configured to detachably attach the holder to a guide rod configured to guide a reciprocal movement of the carriage.

A hand-held recording apparatus includes a recording section, a housing, and an indicator. The recording section records an image on a recording material in moving in a scanning direction. The housing houses the recording section. The indicator is movable between an indication position at which the indicator opposes the recording material and indicates a recording area of the image of the recording section and a retracted position at which the indicator is retracted from the indication position.
