A vehicle control device includes a plurality of imaging units that images an outside world of a vehicle, a surrounding screen image composition unit that combines a plurality of captured images captured by the plurality of imaging units to generate a surrounding screen image, a collision determination unit that determines whether an obstacle is present on a traveling route of the vehicle, an alarm screen image generation unit that selects, from a plurality of captured images, a captured image in which the obstacle is imaged to generate an alarm screen image including the selected captured image, and a display screen image switching unit that performs a process of displaying the surrounding screen image when the collision determination unit determines that the obstacle is not present, and displaying the alarm screen image when the collision determination unit determines that the obstacle is present.

Provided is a parking assistance device capable of reducing inconvenience felt by a driver experienced in automatic parking control during parking at a target vehicle speed corrected to a lower speed at a start of use of automatic parking control, for example. The parking assistance device controls a vehicle speed of the vehicle during parking to assist parking of the vehicle. The parking assistance device increases the vehicle speed of the vehicle during parking in accordance with a behavior during parking or from previous parking of the vehicle.

An automatic parking control device is capable of causing a vehicle to correctly reach the next frame without relying on normal parking route regeneration when a determination is made that the vehicle cannot reach the next frame under automatic parking vehicle control along a section route constituting a part of a parking route. When a determination is made whether the next frame is located on an extension of the current section route and the determination result shows that the next frame is located on the extension, the host vehicle travels further. When the determination is made whether the next frame is located on a remaining section of the current section route and the determination result shows that the next frame is located on the remaining section, the host vehicle decelerates earlier, thereby allowing the host vehicle to reach and come to a stop at the next frame.

A parking frame for which a parking route cannot be generated is excluded from selection objects by a simple determination. The parking assistance device acquires information on an entrance width of a frame entrance of the parking frame and information on a passage width of a passage, and calculates a minimum projection amount wm in a passage width direction of a vehiclefrom the parking frameto the passagewhen a vehicle corner on a front side of the vehicle in an approach direction to the parking frame and on a first side in a vehicle width direction is located at the entrance end on the first side of the parking frame in the frame width direction, and when the vehicle is disposed at a position where the vehicle side part on a second side of the vehicle in the vehicle width direction is in contact with the entrance end on the second side of the parking frame in the frame width direction. This minimum projection amount wm is a minimum passage width required for rotating the vehicle from a direction at a start of parking to a direction at a completion of parking without considering a turning radius in a space configured by the parking frame and the passage. The passage width wr is compared with the minimum projection amount wm, and when the passage width is smaller than the minimum projection amount, it is determined that the vehicle cannot be parked in the parking frame.
