An electrical apparatus system includes a tool battery used as a power source for an electrical tool, and an electrical apparatus having a battery-connecting portion configured to allow the tool battery to be electrically and mechanically connected thereto or disconnected therefrom. In a state in which the tool battery is electrically and mechanically connected to the battery-connecting portion of the electrical apparatus, the tool battery is exposed on a lower side of the electrical apparatus so as to support the electrical apparatus on an installation surface thereof as a base.

A battery pack is provided with a plurality of battery modules; a pack main body that removably receives the plurality of battery modules; a movable member that prohibits the plurality of battery modules from being attached to and removed from the pack main body at a first position; at least one sensor that detects whether the movable member is located at the first position or not; and a controller that performs at least one predetermined processing based on detection by the at least one sensor.

It is an object of the invention to provide a technique to further increase protection performance for a battery pack of power tool. A representative power tool may include a tool body to which a tool bit is coupled to perform a predetermined operation, a driving motor that is disposed within the tool body, a battery pack that supplies driving current to the driving motor, the battery pack being removably mounted to the tool body and placed on the outside of the tool body in an exposed state, and a protector that is removably mounted to the tool body to protect the battery pack. The protector may include a battery pack protection area that protects the battery pack mounted to the tool body when the protector is mounted to the tool body. The battery pack protection area is dosed on at least part of the outer surface of the battery pack with a clearance and prevents transmission of external force upon the battery pack protection area to the battery pack.
