A container closure comprising a container closure shell and a resin liner applied to the inner surface side of the shell, wherein the resin liner is constituted by an upper layer portion which is composed of a resin composition containing such additives as disoxidation agent, drying agent, deodorant, antibacterial agent and thermo color agent and which forms a panel portion on the inside of the hermetically sealing portion, a lower layer portion which is composed of a thermoplastic resin having cushioning property and elasticity and which is interposed between the upper layer portion and the top surface of the shell to join them together, and a hermetically sealing portion which is formed on the outer peripheral side of the panel portion integrally with the lower layer portion. There is further provided a container closure with liner of the function separation type which is free from defects inherent in the conventional function addition-type container closures with liner, and which permits additional functions to be exhibited to a high degree without impairing hermetically sealing property, and a method of producing the same. Moreover, there is provided a method of producing the container closure with liner of the function separation type maintaining excellent produceability and high quality.

A packing container for cooking retort-sterilized content obtained by press-forming a laminate material which comprises a surface-treated steel foil, a primer layer of a composition of a polyamideimide and an epoxy resin provided on at least one surface of said steel foil, and an overcoating layer of a resin composition containing a composition of a polyamideimide and an epoxy resin, and a fluorine-type resin in an amount of from 60 to 300 parts by weight 100 parts by weight of said composition an provided on said primer layer. Disclosed is a plastic multilayer vessel having a laminate structure comprising an intermediate layer of a resin composition formed by incorporating an organic metal complex of a transition metal into a gas-barrier resin having a specific oxygen permeation coefficient and a specific water absorption, and outer and inner layers of a moisture-resistant thermoplastic resin disposed on both the sides of the intermediate layer. This vessel shows an excellent resistance to the permeation of oxygen even under conditions where water and heat simultaneously act.

A multilayer compression-molded article produced by compression-molding a composite plastic material. The composite plastic material comprises a first synthetic resin and a second synthetic resin in which the first synthetic resin surrounds substantially the entire second synthetic resin. The compression-molded article comprises a first resin layer molded from the first synthetic resin and a second resin layer molded from the second synthetic resin in which the first resin layer surrounds substantially the entire second resin layer. The composite plastic material is obtained by an extrusion apparatus which intermittently extrudes the second synthetic resin via a subsidiary extrusion flow passage into a main extrusion flow passage in which the first synthetic resin flows.

A plastic cap is made by introducing an upper plunger formed with a thread groove and a lower plunger into the cavity of a die, while compressing a molten plastic stock between the upper and lower plungers, with the upper plunger sliding along the inner peripheral surface of a holding pad which is held in contact with the upper surface of the die, whereby the skirt portion of the cap is formed by the material of the plastic stock flowing out from between the first and second plungers into between the first plunger and the inner peripheral surface of the die cavity.

A tubular plastic container having a molecularly oriented sidewall portion is made by bringing the peripheral portion of a solid blank in engagement with the shoulder portion of a die, introducing the blank into a cavity of the die while compressing with a first and second plungers, such that in the former stage of the introduction, the speed is relatively low and the pressure is relatively high, and then the speed is increased at a controlled rate and the pressure is decreased, thereby forming a hollow molded piece, and then expanding the molded piece to bringing the sidewall portion thereof into contact with the inner surface of the cavity. Disclosed is a resin composition excellent in its drawability, which comprises (A) a saponified ethylene-vinyl ester copolymer having an ethylene content of 20 to 55 mole % and a saponification degree of at least 95%, (B) a saponified ethylene-vinyl ester copolymer having an ethylene content of 25 to 60 mole % and a saponification degree of at least 90%, the ethylene content of the saponified copolymer (B) being higher by at least 3 mole % than the ethylene content of the saponified copolymer (A), and (C) a polyamide, wherein the weight ratio of the saponified copolymer (A) to the saponified copolymer (B) is in the range of from 90/10 to 10/90 and the weight ratio of the sum of the saponified copolymers (A) and (B) to the polyamide (C) is in the range of from 95/5 to 5/95. The resin compositions have excellent gas barrier properties and can be molded into films or sheets or laminated with other film-forming materials. Molded articles such as cups and other vessels having gas barrier properties can be obtained by molding the laminated films prepared from the resin compositions.
