A aqueous dispersion comprising particles of at least one resin selected from the group consisting of a polyaddition type resin, a polycondensation type resin, an addition condensation type resin, a ring-opening-polymerization type resin and an addition polymerization type resin; wherein the particle has at least two peaks in a particle diameter distribution curve; at least one of the peaks comprises at least one resin selected from the group consisting of a polyaddition type resin, a polycondensation type resin, an addition condensation type resin and a ring-opening-polymerization type resin. The aqueous dispersion exhibits a low viscosity even at a high concentration exceeding 65%, and has better stability with day. In addition, a paint, an adhesive, a pressure-sensitive adhesive and a fiber and textile processing agent using the dispersion of the present invention is excellent in storage stability even at a high concentration.

The present invention uses a curable resin which has: in the molecule thereof, at least two crosslinking functional groups of at least one kind selected from the group consisting of epoxy group, (meth)acryloyl group, alkenylamino group and alkenyloxy group; a glass transition temperature before curing of 50 to 150&#xb0; C.; a weight-average molecular weight of 10,000 to 1,000,000; and a dielectric constant of not higher than 3.5 after curing. By use of the curable resin of the above constitution, the present invention can provide a curable resin that an insulator having an excellent thermal shock resistance and an excellent dielectric property is obtained.

The present invention relates to polyether compounds, active hydrogen compounds and resin-forming compositions composed of the polyols, and methods for producing foams by employing the active hydrogen components. These polyether compounds have a decreased number of moles of added EO thereby maintaining the hydrophobicity and have sufficient reactivity as polyol components of resins, thereby having high reaction rates. Therefore, it is possible to provide resins having excellent resin properties (tensile strength, flexural strength, water-absorption swelling ratio, etc.).

This invention provides a polymer polyol composition (I) comprising a polyol (A) and polymer particles (B) dispersed in (A), the polymer particles (B) being formed by polymerizing an ethylenically unsaturated compound (b) in a polyol, wherein the content of (B) in (I) is from 35 to 75 mass %, based on the mass of (I), and the amount of soluble polymers (P) dissolved in (A) is not more than 5 mass %, based on the mass of (A), and provides methods for producing the polymer polyol composition (I). Further, this invention provides a method for producing a foamed or non-foamed polyurethane resin, which method comprises reacting a polyol component with a polyisocyanate component in the presence or absence of a blowing agent, wherein the above polymer polyol composition is used at least as a portion of the polyol component. A polymer polyol having a low viscosity and excellent dispersion stability is provided even when having a high concentration of polymer particles, and is used advantageously to produce polyurethane resins having excellent 25% ILD (hardness) and compression set, or foams thereof, with good operation efficiency.

Polyoxyalkylenepolyols and process for producing ring-opened polymer

A toner with a glass transition point (Tg) before curing of not lower than 35&deg; C., said toner comprising: a toner binder composed of a resin (I) selected from the group consisting of a cation-polymerizable thermoplastic resin (A) and a radical-polymerizable thermoplastic resin (B); and a colorant. The resins making up the toner binder are polymerizable ones and are cured in fixing the image on the support so that the number average molecular weight can be increased after the fixing step. That is, a toner binder with a low number average molecular weight can be used, and fixed at a low temperature and with low energy. Because of the low number average molecular weight, the toner is low in viscosity and excellent in gloss development and can produce high-quality multi-color images. Since the toner polymerizes and cures to increase in number average molecular weight while fixing, the hot offset is hardly caused, with a high fixing strength and an excellent wear resistance developed.
