A tubular flame burner, a combustion method, and combustion controller, are disclosed. Here, the tubular flame burner comprises: a tubular combustion chamber whose h one end is open; fuel-spraying nozzles and oxygen-containing-gas spraying nozzles. The respective nozzle orifices are formed in the inner face of the combustion chamber so that each spraying direction is in a neighborhood of a tangential direction of the inner circumferential wall of the combustion chamber. And an ignition device is disposed at a position r/2 from the tube axis of the combustion chamber (r: the radius of the combustion chamber). The length of the combustion chamber can be adjusted, the tubular flame burner is a multi-stage burner formed of multiple tubular flame burners, and a gap between the inner tube and the outer tube serves as a gas-flow path. A combustion control method for the tubular flame burner is disclosed, wherein on/off of switching valves is controlled so that the spraying speed from each nozzle is maintained in a predetermined range corresponding to the combustion load.

The invention provides a method for producing a hot-dip plated metal strip comprising the steps of: annealing a metal strip; imparting plastic strain to the metal strip; drawing the metal strip into a molten metal bath for plating; drawing up the metal strip out of the molten metal bath without contacting the molten metal with a roll in the molten metal bath after turning around the metal strip upward with adhering the molten metal on the metal strip; and controlling the coating weight of the molten metal adhered on the metal strip with a wiper. The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a hot-dip plated metal strip comprising the steps of: introducing a metal strip into a molten metal bath of plating metal to adhere the molten metal onto the surface of the metal strip; taking out the metal strip, after turning the running direction of the metal strip, from the molten metal bath without applying external force from outside the surface of the metal strip; adjusting the plating weight of the molten metal adhered onto the metal strip; and controlling the shape of the metal strip using magnetic force in non-contact state directly before or after the step of adjusting the coating weight. The invention prevents adhesion of dross to the metal strip without degrading the productivity, and thus manufactures a high quality hot-dip plated metal strip.

An apparatus for hot-dip coating a steel strip, comprising: (a) an annealing furnace for continuously annealing the steel strip, the annealing furnace having an entrance side and an exit side; (b) a coating pot having a molten metal coating bath for coating the annealed steel strip; (c) a snout through which the annealed steel strip is introduced into the molten metal coating bath, one end of the snout being connected to the annealing furnace and the other end being immersed into the molten metal coating bath; (d) a seal device for sealing between the annealing furnace and the snout, the seal device being disposed at the exit side of the annealing furnace; and (e) a discharge device for discharging a gas containing a metal vapor from the snout to outside of the snout, the metal vapor being evaporated from the molten metal coating bath in the snout.
