Systems that detect a positional relationship between an informal processing device and an external keyboard are disclosed. A system includes an external keyboard including a first communication unit, an incoming coil disposed inside thereof, and an input controller configured to control the first communication unit to transmit operating information indicating an input operation from a user, information processing device including a second communication unit configured to communicate with the first communication unit, a planar portion on which the keyboard is mountable, and a feeding coil disposed below the planar portion, the feeding coil configured to supply electricity to the incoming coil by an electromagnetically induced coupling, and a position detector configured to detect a positional relationship between the planar portion and the keyboard based on a coupling strength of the electromagnetically induced coupling between the feeding coil and the incoming coil. Similar apparatus and methods are also provided.

Detecting a positional relationship between an information processing device and an external keyboard

An information processing apparatus includes: a connection detection unit configured to detect connection of a device to USB connector; a device information acquisition unit configured to acquire first information indicating whether the device detected by the connection detection unit as being connected supports USB-PD standard, second information indicating whether the device supports one or both of power supply and power reception in the case where the device supports the USB-PD standard, and third information indicating whether the device supports data communication by USB; and a device determination unit configured to determine a type of the device based on the first information, the second information, and the third information.

An apparatus for video signal switching for use with an external graphics processing unit device includes an input unit of an information processing device configured to input a first video signal from an external device comprising a graphics processing unit ('GPU') and an input/output interface, a processing unit of the information processing device configured to output a second video signal, and a switching unit configured to determine a route for a video display signal that is output to a display unit, the route selected from an external route along which the first video signal is output to the display unit without going through the processing unit and an internal route along which the second video signal is output to the display unit. An electronic device having a shield structure is disclosed. The shield structure includes a conductive heat diffusion plate that is provided in a position facing a mounting surface of an electronic circuit board on which electronic components, such as a CPU, are mounted, and diffuses heat generated from the CPU, etc.; and a conductive sponge-like member that is firmly fixed to at least either the mounting surface of the electronic circuit board or a surface of the conductive heat diffusion plate which faces the mounting surface of the electronic circuit board, and is provided to separate the CPU, etc. which generate electromagnetic wave noise from antennas.
