A method and apparatus for identifying a faked video is provided herein. During operation, when a video, or video call is received from a device, a simultaneous audio call is placed to the device (i.e., the video call and audio call take place simultaneously in time). The audio streams on both the video and audio call are compared, and a difference between the audio streams is identified. The video is deemed a potential fake if the difference between the audio streams is above a particular threshold.

Techniques for audio tagging of an object of interest are provided. An object of interest within a field of view of a first video camera may be identified at a first time. At least one audio tag representing a first sound created by the object of interest may be generated and associated with the object of interest. At a second time later than the first and at a second video camera, a second sound generated by an unidentified object that is not in the field of view of the second video camera may be detected. An audio tag representing the second tag may be generated. It may be determined that the object of interest and the unidentified object of interest are the same when the audio tag representing the first sound and the second sound are the same.

A method and apparatus for determining a success or failure of a software update is provided herein. When software is updated, part of the update process will require a radio to be configured to communicate on a new 'update talkgroup'. As part of the update process, the user's device will send a short PTT bursts on the update talkgroup. If the PTT burst on the update talkgroup is received, it is assumed that the update was successful. If, however, the PTT burst on the update talkgroup is not received, it is assumed that the update was unsuccessful, stopping any further updates to other radios.

A plurality of text character icons are displayed on a display by an electronic processor in a center area of the graphical user interface and messages are displayed along a perimeter area of the graphical user interface. A selection of one or more text character icons in the center area of the graphical user interface is detected and a new text message is generated based on the detected selection of the one or more text character icons. The new text message is chronologically inserted and displayed in accordance with the chronological sequence along the perimeter of the graphical user interface. The new text message is then transmitted from the device.

The controller determines, using the eye-tracking device, an eye-gaze direction. The controller recognizes at least one object in an image from the camera in the eye-gaze direction by comparing at least a region of the image in the eye-gaze direction with the selected level of the hierarchical object recognition library. When a user enters input text on the computing device, the computing device parses the input text to determine if a data label stored in the clipboard matches the input text. If a user chooses one of the items in the popup window, the data label is replaced by the portion of text that was chosen and matches the data label.

In operation, a first microphone is assigned to respond to communications received on a primary channel and a second microphone is assigned to respond to communications received on a non-primary channel. The portable radio receives independent audio communications simultaneously on the primary channel and the non-primary channel when operating in a multi-watch mode. The portable radio determines a signal gain corresponding to a voice command received at the first and second microphones. When the signal gain for the first microphone is larger than the signal gain for the second microphone, the portable radio switches to a first talk-back channel to respond to communications received on the primary channel. Otherwise, the portable radio switches to a second talk-back channel to respond to communications received on the at least one non-primary channel.
