This invention relates to methods to prepare and compositions pertaining to branched ethylene-propylene copolymers that include at least 50% ethylene content by weight as determined by FTIR; a g'of less than 0.95; a Mof 125,000 to 300,000; a methylene sequence length of 6 or greater as determined byC NMR, wherein the percentage of sequences of the length of 6 or greater is more than 32%; and can have greater than 50% vinyl chain end functionality.

Ethylene-propylene copolymeric compositions with long methylene sequence lengths

The present invention is related to adhesive compositions comprising a polymer blend of at least two different propylene-based polymers and one or more syndiotactic-rich polyolefins. The syndiotactic-rich polyolefin comprises greater than about 50 wt % of a C-Calpha olefins and having about 50% to less than about 80% r dyads, based on the total number of r and m dyads present in the polymer.

When subjected to Temperature Rising Elution Fractionation, the multi-modal polymer blend exhibits a first fraction that is soluble at &#x2212;15&#xb0; C. in a hydrocarbon solvent, such as xylene or ortho-dichlorobenzene, the first fraction having an isotactic (mm) triad tacticity of about 70 mol % to about 90 mol %; and a second fraction that is insoluble or less soluble than the first fraction at &#x2212;15&#xb0; C. in the hydrocarbon solvent, the second fraction having an isotactic (mm) triad tacticity of about 85 mol % to about 98 mol %.

Polymeric compositions and methods for making and using the same are provided. The polymeric composition can include a first ethylene-based copolymer and a second ethylene-based copolymer. The first ethylene-based copolymer can have a weight percent of ethylene-derived units based on a weight of the polymeric composition (E) ranging from about 35 wt % to about 52 wt % and a weight-average molecular weight (Mw) of less than or equal to 130,000. The second ethylene-based copolymer can have a weight percent of ethylene-derived units based on the weight of the polymeric composition (E) ranging from about 65 wt % to about 85 wt % and a weight-average molecular weight (Mw) of less than 130,000.
