Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a beam failure detection (BFD) reference signal set in one or more slots in a full-duplex mode and in one or more slots in a half-duplex mode. The UE may detect beam failure due to self-interference based at least in part on a comparison of measurements of the BFD reference signal set in the full-duplex mode and half-duplex mode. The UE may switch from the full-duplex mode to the half-duplex mode for slots configured for the full-duplex mode based at least in part on detecting beam failure due to self-interference. Beam failure detection in full-duplex operation

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit capability information indicative of a capability of the UE to support one or more subband full-duplex (SBFD) configuration types of a plurality of SBFD configuration types. Indicating user equipment capability information associated with subband full duplex configuration types

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive information indicating a configuration of slot formats for a plurality of time periods. The UE may receive an indication of one or more time locations, with respect to the plurality of time periods, for sub-band full duplex (SBFD) communication at a network node or for reverting from SBFD communication to half-duplex communication at the network node. Numerous other aspects are described.

Indication of time locations for sub-band full duplex communication

In some scenarios, SRS transmission over the full SRS bandwidth may be unnecessary and/or inefficient. Therefore, a need exists for approaches to SRS transmission over less than the full SRS bandwidth. Described herein are techniques and solutions of SRS transmission using only a portion of the full SRS bandwidth, or a partial SRS bandwidth. The present disclosure provides for SRS transmission using a partial SRS bandwidth through sounding patterns that use only the partial SRS bandwidth and/or using a partial SRS bandwidth through various SRS sequence generation configured for the partial SRS bandwidth. An apparatus receives an SRS configuration indicating a full SRS bandwidth; determines a frequency hopping pattern for SRS transmission based on the SRS configuration, and the frequency hopping pattern is limited to a partial SRS bandwidth less than the full SRS bandwidth; and transmits the SRS transmission to the base station based on the frequency hopping pattern.

Methods and apparatuses for frequency hopping of sounding reference signals in partial bandwidths

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first network node may receive a control message identifying at least one symbol or at least one slot to be used for subband full duplex communications at a second network node. The first network node may receive a first indication of uplink resources for uplink communications during the at least one symbol or the at least one slot. The first network node may receive a second indication of downlink resources for downlink communications during the at least one symbol or the at least one slot. The first network node may communicate with the second network node during the at least one symbol or the at least one slot in accordance with one of the first indication or the second indication based on one or more prioritization rules.

Multiplexing rules for subband full duplex communications

A user equipment (UE) may receive a carrier indication that identifies a first carrier and a second carrier for communication between the UE and a network entity. The UE may receive a first quasi co-location (QCL) indication using the first carrier. The first QCL indication may identify a first set of QCL information that corresponds to a reference signal received using the first carrier. The UE may receive a second QCL indication using the second carrier. The second QCL indication may identify the reference signal and may indicate that the first set of QCL information is associated with signaling received using the second carrier.

Quasi co-location relationship indications for dormant or deactivated carriers

An example method may include receiving scheduling information for one or more UL transmissions associated with one or more neighbor UEs and a second network entity. The techniques described herein may enable frequency domain interleaving for a transmission direction depending on a codeblock mapping configuration, a transport block size, or both. For example, a device (e.g., a user equipment (UE) or a base station) may use an existence of self-interference (e.g., existence of communications in a different transmission direction), a frequency domain allocation, a codeblock size, a number of codeblocks mapped per symbol, or a combination thereof for determining the interleaving. Additionally, the device may determine the frequency domain interleaving based on a transport block size configured for a transmission direction in a full-duplex slot. For example, a table with different ranges of transport block size along with interleaver depth or different interleaver patterns may be configured, and the device can determine the interleaver design based on the table.

Techniques for interleaving in full-duplex slots

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a discovery burst from a network entity during the transmission duration. The received discovery burst may indicate a duplex operation mode used at the network entity for transmission of the discovery burst and a type of channel access procedure associated with a random access occasion included in the transmission duration. The UE may transmit a random access message to the network entity during the random access occasion based on a success of a channel access procedure. The channel access procedure may correspond to the indicated type of channel access procedure.

Techniques for transmitting discovery bursts using full duplex operations

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment may communicate using an initial resource bandwidth as an active bandwidth, wherein the initial resource bandwidth comprises at least a first portion of a bandwidth part (BWP); and switch, based at least in part on a timer expiry, to a default resource bandwidth as the active bandwidth, wherein the default resource bandwidth comprises at least a second portion of the BWP. A UE receives a first Time Division-Duplexing (TDD) Uplink (UL) Downlink (DL) slot format configuration in RRC signaling, the first TDD UL DL slot format configuration indicating types of communication for a set of symbols or a set of slots, the types of the communication including one or more of uplink, downlink, or flexible. The UE further receives an indication of an adjusted type for at least one symbol in the set of symbols or at least one slot in the set of slots. The at least one symbol for which a type of the communication is adjusted is a downlink symbol or an uplink symbol based on the first time TDD UL DL slot format configuration, or the at least one slot for which the type of the communication is adjusted is a downlink slot or an uplink slot based on the first time TDD UL DL slot format configuration.

Signaling to override radio resource control (RRC) configured direction

In one example, a network entity obtains a reference signal configuration that comprises one or more transmission power control offsets for a first cell and one or more transmission power control offsets for a second cell.

Downlink power control in wireless communications

Techniques described herein relate to schemes for managing an overlap of at least part of a tracking reference signal (TRS) with an uplink subband or a guard band in a subband full duplex (SBFD) slot or symbol. In some examples, if a user equipment (UE) and/or a network entity determines that at least a portion of a TRS is scheduled for reception in an uplink subband or a guard band of an SBFD slot or symbol, the UE and/or the network entity may: drop the TRS, puncture the portion of the TRS that overlaps with the uplink subband or the guard band; or may shift the frequency position of the TRS such that the TRS is scheduled within the downlink subband(s) of the SBFD slot or symbol.

Tracking reference signals in full duplex operation

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for systems that use resource bandwidths within one or more bandwidth parts (BWPs). Such resource bandwidths may be configured in one or more BWPs to support relatively fast switching and allow enhanced flexibility for communications within a BWP. Within one or more BWPs, downlink reference signal resources of a first resource bandwidth may be associated with one or multiple uplink resources of a second resource bandwidth, and precoding for uplink communications in the one or multiple uplink resources may be calculated based on the associated downlink reference signal resources. Additionally or alternatively, abeam used for uplink communications may be provided to the UE in transmission control information (TCI). Further, in some cases, multiple disjoint subsets of uplink frequency resources within a resource bandwidth may use different beams, according to an indication provided in TCI.
