A disclosed apparatus may include (1) a voltage regulator module configured to convert electric power into at least one regulated voltage, (2) a controller configured to control passage of the electric power to the voltage regulator module, and (3) a computing device configured to (A) be powered by the regulated voltage and (B) provide a disable signal that causes the controller to suspend passage of the electric power to the voltage regulator module. A power supply assembly includes an input module that includes one or more captive screws, one or more first power supply connection components, and one or more first input feed connection components; and a power supply unit that includes one or more captive screw connection switches, one or more second power supply connection components, and one or more second input feed connection components. The input module is to physically and electrically connect to the power supply unit; the one or more captive screws are to physically engage, respectively, the one or more captive screw connection switches; the one or more first power supply connection components are to physically and electrically connect to, respectively, the one or more second power supply connection components; and the one or more first input feed connection components are to physically and electrically connect to, respectively, the one or more second input feed connection components.

A device may include a power supply module (PSM). The PSM may receive information regarding one or more programmable restrictions associated with a power supply. The PSM may receive a measurement of voltage associated with the power supply. The PSM may determine a current associated with the power supply based on the one or more programmable restrictions, the measurement of voltage, and a first amount of power associated with the power supply. The PSM may cause a load associated with the power supply to be adjusted based on determining the current without removing power for a connection between the power supply and a power source associated with the power supply. The PSM may cause the power supply to provide a second amount of power based on causing the load associated with the power supply to be adjusted.

Power supply with programmable restriction

A system may receive, by a switching component of the system, network traffic to be provided to an I/O component of the network device. The system may route, by the switching component, the network traffic to the I/O component based on whether the I/O component is connected to the switching component via the first connections and/or via second connections. The first connections may be connections via a chassis of the system. The second connections may be connections via a connector component that is removable from the switching component. The network traffic may be routed via the first connections and the second connections when the I/O component is connected via the first connections and the second connections. The network traffic may be routed via the first connections and not via the second connections when the I/O component is connected via the first connections and not via the second connections.

Supplemental connection fabric for chassis-based network device

A system may include a power module that includes a group of power supplies, particular ones of the group of power supplies being operable at a group of voltages ranging from a first voltage to a second voltage. The system may further include a controller coupled to the particular ones of the group of power supplies, the controller being to ramp up an output voltage, associated with the group of power supplies, from the first voltage to the second voltage in a group of discrete steps; where ramping up the output voltage by a particular one of the group of discrete steps is performed while a load is receiving power from the group of power supplies; and where ramping up the output voltage by a particular one of the group of discrete steps prevents over-current protection on the group of power supplies from being activated.

The disclosed apparatus may include a lock that has a locking mechanism that secures an electronic module to a telecommunication system. The lock may also have an ejection handle coupled to the locking mechanism such that application of physical force to the ejection handle ejects the electronic module from the telecommunication system by undoing the locking mechanism. The disclosed apparatus may also include a cross-bar coupled to the lock and movable in conjunction with the ejection handle. The cross-bar may facilitate access to a row of power connectors arranged along a surface of the electronic module when the ejection handle is positioned in a first position. Additionally or alternatively, the cross-bar may block access to the row of power connectors arranged along the surface of the electronic module when the ejection handle is positioned in a second position. Apparatus, system, and method for preventing electric shock during maintenance of telecommunication systems

Techniques are described for determining whether power from a first power source is unavailable to a power supply module. In response to determining that power from the first power source is unavailable, the techniques de-couple the first power source from one or more components of an electronic device connected to an output of the power supply module with one or more de-coupling components of the power supply module that connect an automatic transfer switch (ATS) of the power supply module to an output of the power supply module. Subsequent to de-coupling the first power source from the one or more components of the electronic device, the techniques de-couple a power supply module from the first power source. The techniques couple the power supply module to a second power source for delivering power to the one or more components of the electronic device.

A master node is configured to receive, from a slave node, a request to perform a modified two-step synchronization (sync) operation in a manner that precludes transmitting a follow-up packet; generate a sync packet in a manner that includes information associated with a previous time that a prior sync packet was transmitted to the slave node; transmit the sync packet to the slave node; receive, from the slave node, a delay request packet; transmit, to the slave node, a delay response packet, where the delay response packet stores information associated with another time at which the delay request packet was received, and where transmitting the delay response packet enables the slave node to calibrate a clock, hosted by the slave node, to a master clock, hosted by the master node, based on the previous time and the other time.
