A wireless device () 'relaxes' the radio-signal measurements it makes with respect to a wireless communication network (), in the context of using those measurements to determine whether a current Timing Advance, TA, value remains valid for use in transmitting on preconfigured uplink resources, PUR, of the wireless communication network (). Relaxation refers to the length of the interval between making new measurements. According to techniques herein, the wireless device () operates according to an imposed limit on the extent or degree of relaxation, to ensure or at least improve the reliability of the radio measurements with respect to validation of the TA value. Determination of the extent of relaxation occurs at the wireless device () or at a supporting network node () of the wireless communication network ().

Method and apparatus for controlling transmission on preconfigured uplink resources in a wireless communication network

A method performed by a Network Node (NN) for handling Device to Device (D2D) operation between a first D2D User Equipment (UE) and a second D2D UE in a radio communications network is provided. The NN obtains data related to propagation delay in one or more cells served by the NN. The propagation delay is related to any one or more out of: the first D2D UE, the second D2D UE, other D2D UEs, and cellular UEs. The NN then determines whether or not to configure a number of Guard Period (GP) symbols within a switching time resource, as Sidelink (SL) radio resources for the D2D operation. The determining is based on one or more criteria applied to the obtained data related to the propagation delay.

Network node, device to device user equipment, and methods in a radio communications network

Methods performed by a wireless device and a base station for adapting maximum allowed Clear Channel Assessment (CCA) based on operational occasion periodicity are provided. In examples disclosed herein, a wireless device is configured to determine an operational occasion periodicity of a signal that is subject to CCA. Accordingly, the wireless device can determine an association at least between the determined operational occasion periodicity and a maximum number of allowed CCA failures for communicating the signal. The wireless device can then perform one or more operational tasks based on the determined maximum number of allowed CCA failures. By determining the maximum number of allowed CCA failures, the wireless device can obtain information about downlink CCA failures and use the obtained information for adapting measurements procedures in serving cell operational tasks.

Adapting maximum allowed CCA failures based on single occasion periodicity

A wireless device is configured for use in a wireless communication network. The wireless device obtains a configuration that governs how the wireless device is to monitor for and/or attempt to recover from consistent uplink listen-before-talk (LBT) failure that occurs during a mobility procedure triggered by the wireless device. According to the obtained configuration, the wireless device monitors for and/or attempts to recover from consistent uplink LBT failure occurring during the mobility procedure.

Systems and methods for validating one or more parameters are provided. In some embodiments, a method performed by a wireless device for validating parameters includes: obtaining information about measurement change for validating one or more parameters; obtaining information about a number of thresholds and associated thresholds used for validating the one or more parameters; and performing parameter validation based on the obtained information. In some embodiments, this is for a Timing Advance (TA) parameter for a Preconfigured Uplink Resources (PUR) transmission. In this way, TA validation becomes more reliable as the validation range can be adapted to the wireless device mobility.

Systems and methods for controlling Sounding Reference Signal (SRS) carrier-based switching impact are disclosed. In some embodiments, a method performed by a wireless device for controlling SRS switching impact comprises determining that there is a SRS carrier-based switching from a first carrier on which a first serving cell of the wireless device operates to a second carrier on which a second serving cell of the wireless device operates. Systems and methods for SRS switching impact control

Method for a user equipment, UE), to communicate with a wireless network via multiple cells. The method includes detecting () failure of a first beam associated with a first cell of the plurality of cells and determining () availability or unavailability of other beams, than the first beam, that are associated with the first cell. The method further includes transmitting (), to one of the multiple cells, a message indicating availability or unavailability of the other beams associated with the first cell. Beam failure recovery in multi-cell configuration

Systems and methods for providing power savings at a wireless communications device in coordination with early measurement reporting are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method performed by a wireless communication device comprises obtaining first information for determining whether the wireless communication device meets criteria for entering into one or more relaxed measurement modes and obtaining second information about whether the wireless communication device is configured with early measurement reporting. The method further comprises selecting a measurement mode from a set of measurement modes comprising the one or more relaxed measurement modes and a normal measurement mode. Handling of uplink listen-before-talk failures for handover

A method, system and apparatus for semi-persistent channel state information (CSI) reporting procedures with uplink (UL) clear channel assessment (CCA) are disclosed. According to one aspect, a method includes receiving a signal indicating activation or deactivation of semi-persistent channel state information (CSI) reporting and responsive to receiving the signal, attempt to transmit a Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request Acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK), the attempt being subject to success or failure of a clear channel assessment (CCA). Semi-persistent channel state information reporting procedure with uplink clear channel assessment

Methods, a first, and a second network node as well as a user equipment for exchange of measurement period related parameters are provided. The user equipment performs a method for measuring a measurement quantity of a secondary cell on a second carrier operated by a second radio network node. The user equipment receives, from the second radio network node, an indication indicative of the second carrier and a first parameter indicating a measurement period for measuring the measurement quantity of the secondary cell. A method for performing radio link monitoring comprises performing, by a user equipment (UE), a radio link monitoring (RLM) procedure with first RLM parameters; receiving, at the UE, a message including at least one second RLM parameter; identifying, by the UE, a difference between the first RLM parameters and the at least one second RLM parameter; and resetting, at the UE, at least one of the first RLM parameters in response to identifying the difference between the first RLM parameters and the at least one second RLM parameter. The method may configure the UE upon performing RLM by adapting the difference between the current RLM parameters and the future parameters, so that the UE behavior may become clear.

A first and second UE are connected via a PC5 unicast link. Both maintain a list of potential Side link relay UEs and agree on a common list of UEs that appear in both lists.
