This invention relates to an antimicrobial composition, more particularly a personal care composition like a soap bar. It more particularly relates to a composition comprising an essential oil compound and a tetra hydroxy alkylene amine compound which interact synergistically to provide the desired result.

Antimicrobial composition

The present invention relates to an antimicrobial composition. More particularly the present invention relates to an antimicrobial composition for malodor and oral biofilm inhibitions benefits. Accordingly, the present invention provides an antimicrobial composition comprising: a. 0.1 to 10% by weight of tetrahydroxypropyl ethylenediamine (THPE) and, b. 0.001 to 10% by weight of at least one compound selected from a biphenol.

The present invention relates to an extruded soap bar composition. It more particularly relates to a soap bar composition which delivers the enhanced antimicrobial benefit to skin while ensuring that the soap bar is easy to extrude. This is achieved by including free fatty acids in the soap bar composition while ensuring that part of the free fatty acid is hydroxy stearic acid.
