A binder composition includes at least: a binder base selected among an oil, a bitumen base, a pitch, a clear binder, or mixtures thereof; an acid compound of general formula (I): R&#x2014;(COOH)(I); an amide compound of general formula (II): R'&#x2014;(NH)CONH&#x2014;(X)&#x2014;(NHCO)(NH)&#x2014;R&#x2033; (II), the compounds of formula (I) and formula (II) being provided in a weight ratio of 10:1 to 1:16. A process for manufacturing bituminous mixes including at least the binder composition and aggregates, includes at least the steps of: heating the aggregates to a temperature ranging from 100&#xb0; C. to 180&#xb0; C., mixing the aggregates with the binder composition, and obtaining bituminous mixes. A method for transporting and/or storing and/or handling the binder composition includes transporting and/or storing and/or handling the binder composition in the form of blocks or pellets.

Binder that is solid at room temperature

Bitumen that is solid at ambient temperature in the form of granules that include a core made of a first bituminous material and a coating made of a second bituminous material, the second bituminous material having a total content of asphaltenes, extracted using n-alkane, of 30% to 50% by weight in relation to the total weight of the bitumen in the coating.

Bitumen solid at ambient temperature

A bitumen granules including a core and a coating layer, in which the core includes at least one bitumen base, and the coating layer includes at least: one oil selected from a hydrocarbon oil of petroleum or synthetic origin; and at least one organogelator compound selected from among compounds of general formula (I), (II) or (V). The invention also relates to a method for producing bitumen granules, as well as to the use thereof as an asphalt binder, in particular for producing mixes. The invention further relates to a method for producing mixes from bitumen granules and also to a method for transporting and/or storing and/or handling bitumen granules.

A method for manufacturing a material in divided form solid at ambient temperature and usable as a road binder or as a sealing binder, such as a road bitumen, a pitch, a stock solution for a bitumen/polymer composition, a clear binder, the method including the implementation of a device intended for granulation having at least two coaxial drums and a horizontal running belt: a fixed inner drum having an orifice and rotating outer drum with orifices, the method including: (i) heating a first composition to a temperature at which it is fluid, (ii) introducing the first composition in the fluid state into the inner drum of the granulation device, (iii) distributing the first composition outwards in drops through the orifices in the rotating outer drum, (iv) depositing the drops on the running belt, and (v) optionally, coating the drops with the second composition. Method for manufacturing material in the form of granules that can be used as road binder or sealing binder and device for manufacturing same

Bitumen which is solid at ambient temperature, in the form of granules including a core made of a first bituminous material and a coating layer made of a second bituminous material, in which: the first bituminous material includes at least one bitumen base and the second bituminous material includes: at least one bitumen base and at least one chemical additive chosen from: an organic compound, a viscosifying compound, a paraffin, a polyphosphoric acid and mixtures thereof; or at least one pitch having a ring-and-ball softening point (RBSP) greater than or equal to 80&#xb0; C., it being understood that the RBSP is measured according to the EN 1427 standard; or a mixture of these materials.

A process for preparing a bitumen-polymer composition includes mixing and heating a base bitumen-polymer with at least: one compound of general formula (I): R&#x2014;(COOH)where Ris a linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated, hydrocarbon chain, including 4 to 68 carbon atoms, and z is an integer from 1 to 4, and a compound (II) selected from the compounds able to react according to an acid-base reaction, an amidation reaction or an esterification reaction, with the carboxylic acid group of the additive (I). Also set forth is the composition obtained by the method and a kit composed of a bitumen-polymer composition including an additive (I), in the form of blocks, and a capsule comprising a compound (II).

Bitumen-polymer composition and method for the preparation thereof

A process for the transportation and/or storage of road bitumen under cold conditions, including at least one chemical additive chosen from: a general formula compound (I): R&#x2014;(COOH)wherein Ris a linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon-based chain including 4 to 68 carbon atoms, and z is an integer ranging from 1 to 4, and a general formula compound (II): R&#x2014;(NH)CONH&#x2014;(X)&#x2014;NHCO(NH)&#x2014;R' wherein: R and R&#x2032;, which are identical or different, contain a saturated or unsaturated, linear or branched, cyclic or acyclic hydrocarbon-based chain having 1 to 22 carbon atoms and optionally including heteroatoms and/or rings having 3 to 12 atoms and/or heterocycles having 3 to 12 atoms; X contains a saturated or unsaturated, linear or branched, cyclic or acyclic hydrocarbon-based chain having 1 to 22 carbon atoms and optionally including one or more heteroatoms and/or rings having 3 to 12 atoms and/or heterocycles having 3 to 12 atoms.

Method for the transportation and/or storage of road bitumen

The invention relates to a bitumen/polymer composition and to its process of manufacture. The bitumen/polymer composition includes first bitumen base having an intrinsic stability S of greater than 2.5 and/or a degree of peptization Sof greater than 0.60, and a second bitumen base having an intrinsic stability S of less than or equal to 2.50 and/or a degree of peptization Sof less than or equal to 0.60, an elastomer and an olefinic polymer adjuvant functionalized by at least glycidyl functional groups. The values of intrinsic stability S and of the degree of peptization Sare measured according to the standard ASTM D 7157-12. The bitumen/polymer composition exhibits improved low-temperature mechanical properties.

Bitumen/polymer composition having improved low-temperature mechanical properties

A bituminous composition is used as an adhesive binder. The bituminous composition has at least one acidic additive of general formula (I): R&#x2014;(COOH)z in which R is a linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon-based chain having from 4 to 68 carbon atoms, preferably from 4 to 54 carbon atoms, more preferentially from 4 to 36 carbon atoms and z is an integer ranging from 1 to 4, preferably from 2 to 4.

Use of a bituminous composition as an adhesive binder

The invention relates to a package of performance additives for bitumen or bituminous compositions including an acidic adjuvant and a HS scavenger chosen from organic or inorganic copper salts. The invention also relates to the use of said HS scavenger in order to reduce the HS emissions of bitumen or of a bituminous composition treated with the acidic adjuvant. The invention additionally relates to a process for the preparation of a bituminous composition. The preparation process according to the invention makes it possible to obtain bitumen/crosslinked polymer compositions having better mechanical and dynamic properties in comparison with the bitumen/crosslinked polymer compositions of the prior art, while substantially reducing the releases of hydrogen sulfide (HS).
