A printing apparatus includes a printing unit, and first, second, and third conveyance paths. The printing unit performs printing at a printing position on a print medium conveyed in a conveyance direction. The first conveyance path causes the print medium to pass through the printing position of the printing unit. The second conveyance path reverses obverse and reverse surfaces of the print medium, and the third conveyance path reverses obverse and reverse surfaces of the print medium. The second conveyance path branches from the first conveyance path at a first branching point on a downstream side of the printing position in the conveyance direction and merges into the first conveyance path on an upstream side of the printing position. The third conveyance path branches from a second branching point on the second conveyance path and merges into the first conveyance path on the upstream side of the printing position.

Printing apparatus

A printing apparatus includes a supply unit, a supply path, first and second conveyance paths, a printing unit, and an inversion roller. The first conveyance path conveys, to a first direction, a print medium. The printing unit prints an image on the two surface of the print medium. The inversion roller inverts a conveyance direction of the print medium and conveys the print medium in a second direction. The second conveyance path conveys the print medium conveyed in the second direction to the first conveyance path while inverting the print medium. When performing printing on both sides of print media, the print media are convey such that a first print medium supplied from the second conveyance path and a second print medium supplied from the supply path overlap in the first conveyance path.

A recording apparatus to record an image on a sheet includes a roller pair and a switching unit. The roller pair sandwiches the sheet between the roller pair to convey the sheet. The switching unit includes a first movable member that is moved in a first direction so that the first state is switched to the second state, and includes a second movable member that is moved in a second direction different from the first direction so that the first state is switched to the second state.

The feeding roller moves to the separated position after feeding the print medium from the stacking part. The return unit performs the return operation upon the feeding roller moving to the separated position. After the return operation, the feeding roller stops at the abutting position.
