The present invention makes it possible to perform good illumination and obtain a good captured image when a plurality of users each having a camera-equipped portable information terminal device gather in the same place. A camera-equipped portable information terminal device is provided with: an imaging unit that captures an image of a subject; a first illumination means for illuminating the subject; a first communication unit that communicates with other portable information terminal devices; and a first control unit that controls the imaging unit and the first communication unit. The first control unit transmits a light emission instruction signal to the other portable information terminal devices via the first communication unit, and causes a second illumination means of each of the other portable information terminal devices to emit light in tandem with an imaging operation of the imaging unit.

Provided is a portable terminal device capable of realizing more preferable usability. The portable terminal device includes a display displaying information such as content on a display screen; a detector detecting a pressing onto the display screen; a tilt angle detector detecting a tilt angle of the portable terminal device; and a display controller performing control for changing a display range of display information displayed on the display screen. The display controller sets, as a reference angle θ0, a tilt angle detected when a pressing having a strength equal to or more than a predetermined value is detected, and controls scrolls so as to change the display range of the display information in the display screen in accordance with a value of a difference between the reference angle θ0 and a tilt angle θn detected in a pressing-held state.

Portable terminal device

A portable terminal device sets a security level for each application in accordance with position, and stores the level in a memory. The security level determines whether each application is displayed or made executable on a display portion in locked state and unlocked state. A controller refers to the security level and determines the application displayed on the display portion in accordance with position information acquired by a position information acquisition unit (GPS reception unit), and makes executable the application selected by the user. Thus, the portable terminal device offers user-friendliness while ensuring security strength.

A portable terminal device in an information processing system and method includes a camera and a microphone. Data of obtained images and voice are transmitted to a server that identifies operations to be executed based on the received voice and image data. The server transmits an identification of one or more results of the plurality of operations to the portable terminal device. When the portable terminal device receives only one result from the server, an operation corresponding to the one result is executed, and when a plurality of results is received, the portable terminal device displays information corresponding to the plurality of results as candidates. Additional voice is captured for selecting one of the plurality of results during the displaying of the information. A determination of one result from the plurality of results is made based on the captured voice, and an operation corresponding to the determined result is executed.

For example, a first terminal is used by a user internal to an organization and a second terminal is used by a user external to the organization. The second terminal connects, under permission from the first terminal, to the communication device via the wireless LAN access point. A mobile terminal has a communication processing unit that transmits, to a video display apparatus for displaying a broadcasted video content, a request for setting a viewing schedule of the video content. A storage unit stores a starting time of the video content for which the setting of the viewing schedule has been requested; and an information provision unit provides information to a user of the mobile terminal. A control unit determines whether the video display apparatus is existent around the mobile terminal. At a first predetermined time before the starting time, the information provision unit notifies the user of the first predetermined time. If the video display apparatus is not existent around the mobile terminal at a second predetermined time before the starting time, the information provision unit then notifies the user that it is the second predetermined time before the starting time.
